Chapter.03: Odd Jobs

Beep Beep Beep Beep

A hand emerged from under the blanket to turn off the alarm. Messy short black hair peeked out from under the blanket to see the time on his phone. Precisely at 6 a.m.

Yuugo sat up and stretched his body. He rubbed the blur in his eyes as he looked at the sunshine that peeked through the gap of the curtain. He still felt tired, but those sheets won't get cleaned by themselves. Both he and Yuuto only slept for three hours. After the headmaster left, they started eating and washing the sheets. They planned to hang it in the morning.

The young man grabbed the blanket from his bed and saw Grim sleeping. He stopped himself from waking the cat up. He didn't need his help for now.

He opened his door and walked past a couple of doors and finally stopped at 104, which was his twin's room. Yesterday, they decided Yuugo would sleep in the dorm leader's room, which is 101 and Yuuto picked 104 because it was the closest to the exit.

Yuugo opened the door without knocking first, startling his twin, who was folding his blanket.

"Can you please knock before entering? I nearly drop my blanket."

"We are going to clean that anyway. It doesn't matter even if it falls to the floor."

"It matters to me because I don't want any dust on my clean floor!"

"Yeah whatever," There was no stopping his twin if he ranted about cleaning. Yuugo gave his blanket to his brother. "Clean this too. I'm going to grab the metal poles and the others from the storage room."

After he found the things that they need, Yuugo went outside and found his twin with the small speakers in his hands. It was his. They found it yesterday with their belongings. Suddenly, music started to echo around the area.

"Pokemon songs?"

Yuuto nodded. "Yep, perfect songs to chill into. Do you grab the poles?"

"Here." Yuugo brandished two metal poles and a shovel.

"Well, hope these are sturdy enough to hang these sheets."

As they finished stabbing the poles onto the ground and tying the rope from one end to the other, they heard someone opening the metal fence.

"Good morning, you two. Did you sleep well?" Crowley appeared from the entrance, carrying another box that was filled with food.

"Good morning, headmaster," Yuuto greeted back. "And yes, besides the lack of sleep, we have a good rest."

"Are you both washing the sheets now?" Crowley looked at the makeshift hanger.

"We just finished washing all of it, now we are going to hang it."

"Let me help you then, for I am gracious!" With a wave of his hand. The wet sheets and rugs floated onto the hanger and one second later, he had hung everything properly.

Yuugo whistled, impressed with the show of magic. "Magic is really impressive."

"Of course! The stronger you are, the more magic skills that you can use. Such a shame that you both can't use magic, even though I can feel the potential from within you," Crowley sobbed in sorrow. "Anyway, I bought your breakfast! Let's go inside."

The three of them went to the dining room, and Yuugo asked the ghosts to wake Grim up. Immediately, they heard the howl and scream from Grim. Seconds later, Grim had run into the dining room with all of his life with the ghosts tailing after him.

"Huff, huff," Grim panted. "We should get rid of them, eventually."

"Nah, deal with it," Yuugo continued. "We are the ones that intrude on them."
