Love is blossoming

Mcnasty's POV

I took the ring out that was still in my pocket and admired it. Hoping that Dooo will like it. I wanted to do the proposal somewhere special so I decided to do it where Dooo had serenaded me. At he park, under the cherry blossom tree where we carved our initials into. I had the location set. I then drove to my house to get a speaker. I was gonna play Dooo singing Fly me to the moon with it while I proposed to him. After that I went to a craft store and picked up a poster board and some super glue. I then went to the park and gathered as many cherry blossom petal I could and arranged them onto the poster board so it would say "Will you marry me?" I sat on the bench where Dooo and I recently sat together and glued all the petals onto it. "Perfect!" Satisfied with my work I took the poster back to the car and then drove to the music store where Dooo had gotten me the guitar. They had a machine where you could get a blank guitar pick and have something engraved into it. I chose a red one, the same color as the guitar and had one side say "Fly me to the moon" and the other side say "I love you". Once it was complete I put the pick into the box that held the ring and it thankfully fit. It was starting to get late so I drove back to the hotel to find Dooo still asleep. I had left the things for the proposal in the car so that Dooo wouldn't see it because I didn't want his nosy ass spoiling the surprise. I carefully got into bed with Dooo and tried to go to sleep but got barely any sleep because I couldn't contain my excitement. In the morning I got dressed as fast as I could and went to the park with all the things needed for the proposal. As I got there I saw 2 people already sitting on the bench. Annoyed I went over to them to see if I could get them to sit on another bench.

Mcnasty: "Hey do you mind getting up?"

Man on bench: "Excuse me?"

The man got up and towered over me. I gulped and tried to explain.

Mcnasty: "I-I'm sorry I was just uh proposal and um-"

Woman on bench: "Oh my goodness you're proposing to your partner?! That's so adorable. Honey we have to move. We can't ruin this special moment for them."

Man on bench: "Hmf very well. You got lucky this time boy."

Relief came over me and I wiped the sweat that was beginning to form on my forehead. I then wasted no time and set the speaker onto the bench, I connected my phone and pulled up Dooo's cover and put it on pause. Next I propped the sign against the tree. Luckily the wind wasn't blowing so it stayed standing. After checking my pocket to make sure the box with the ring and guitar pick inside I took a deep breath to prepare to call Dooo to tell him to meet me at the park. The phone rang and rang until Dooo finally answered.

Dooo: "Hello?"

Mcnasty: "Good morning! How'd you sleep?"

Dooo: "Good I guess, where are you?"

Mcnasty: "At the park we went to yesterday."

Dooo: "Why?"

Mcnasty: "I have surprise for you. Come meet me at the bench under the tree."

Dooo: "What is it?"

I face palmed and sighed.

Mcnasty: "It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you. So come here and see for yourself."

Dooo: "Oh okay. I'll see you in a bit."

Dooo hung up the phone and I patiently waited for him to get here.

Dooo's POV

I was unsure what Mcnasty has planned but he always had something up his sleeve so I'm sure it was gonna be something good. I got dressed and then made my way to the park. As I approached it I heard music playing. It was my voice I heard. "It's my cover of Fly me to the moon!" I followed the sound of the music and found Mcnasty standing there holding a sign. I covered my mouth when my jaw dropped as I realized what it said. Mcnasty got onto one knee, pulling out a box. I got closer to him and saw that not only was there a ring there was a guitar pick. I picked it up and read what was engraved into it. I looked at Mcnasty with tears running down my face. He gently grabbed my hand and slid the ring onto my finger. He stood up and held both my hands.

Mcnasty: "So is that a yes?"

Dooo: "Of course!"

He picked me up and spun me around, holding me close. When he put me down we passionately kissed. When we pulled away I saw that Mcnasty also had tears in his eyes. I wiped his tears and he wiped mine.

Mcnasty: "I love you so damn much Dooo"

Dooo: "I love you so much too Mcnasty"

We gathered our things and then went back to the hotel. The whole car ride there I couldn't stop looking at the ring. I knew I was never going to take it off. I had to eventually get one for Mcnasty too. When we got back to the hotel I sat on the bed swinging my feet giggling with glee.

Mcnasty: "How about we go and celebrate our engagement."

Dooo: "What did you have in mind?"

Mcnasty: "Maybe we could go to a bar or something like that?"

Dooo: "Who's calling the Uber?"

Mcnasty: "I can. As long as you call the Uber home."

Dooo: "Okay deal."
