Faceless love

Face reveal

It was like any other evening of video calling. The normal laughter, inside jokes, sending each other memes. It's what they've grown used to. But there was obvious tension between them. Nothing bad of course. Just the tension that they both know they love one another but they're too scared to make the first move. That all changed this one fateful evening. After a brief awkward silence this conversation ensued

Mcnasty: "Soooo"
Dooo: "Soooo what?"
Mcnasty: "When are we planning on showing each other our faces. We've never met in person but I do consider you my best friend so I feel like it's about time we know one another's faces before we meet in person ya know?"

Despite Mcnasty not being able to see it, Dooo's face turned bright red. His thoughts begin to race.

Dooo's POV
"Shit I knew this day would come eventually. I just never bothered how to prepare for it. Oh god what do I do. Should I ask Dooobra for advice? No that wouldn't work. It's either now or never Dooo"

Narrator's POV
Dooo's thoughts were then interrupted by Mcnasty calling out for Dooo.

Mcnasty: "uhhh earth to Dooo?"
He waves his hand in front of the camera trying to catch his attention.
Dooo snapped out of it and begins to stutter while he musters up the courage to say what needs to be said.
Dooo: "Oh! Shit. M-my bad. Um so yeah I d-definitely agree"
He clears his throat and takes a deep breath to regain his composure.
"I too agree that it's long overdue that we show each other our faces. I trust you more than anyone so I know I can trust you with this. Under one condition. Actually TWO!"

Mcnasty: "Okay and what are those 2 conditions?"
Dooo: "The first one is that we both move our cameras down at the same time and the second one is that we there's no screenshots allowed. Got it?"
Mcnasty: "That seems fair. Got it"

At the same time they reach for their cameras and count down at the same time

Mcnasty and Dooo: "3...2...1"

Just like that both of their faces were now visible to each other. Dooo had his eyes shut tightly.

Mcnasty: "Open your eyes dumb ass"

Dooo then slowly opens one eye, then both of them shoot open. He is unable to speak. Just many thoughts overflowed his mind

Dooo: "Holy shit on a stick. He's perfect. I knew I loved him before but I think I love him even more"
Mcnasty: "Wow"
Dooo: "wow what? Please say something more than that"
Mcnasty: "Just wow. You're perfect"

Dooo's face turned red yet again but this time Mcnasty was able to see it, and he loved every inch of the blushiness his face emitted. Dooo moved the camera back to the original angle where it was back to the usual faceless video calls. While Mcnasty on the other hand still had his camera focused on his face.

Mcnasty: "No fair, why are you covering your face again. We already know what each other look like so might as well go all the way"
Dooo: "What do you mean by "all the way"

Dooo questioned Mcnasty while slowly showing his face again. This time it was Mcnasty who was beginning to blush. Dooo was not expecting this. He was used to Mcnastys normal cocky behavior he had grown to love. Instead this time he got to see his shy and vulnerable side. Dooo enjoyed seeing this side of him and never expected to see yet another side of him.
