Singin' in the park, shoppin in the dark

As opposed to the morning before where Mcnasty woke up before Dooo, it was now the other way around. Dooo wanted to be the one to do something for Mcnasty this time since he had put in so much work for him the day before. He was just unsure as to what to do. He didn't know the area and didn't want to go too far because of the fear he'd get lost. So he went onto Google and looked up parks near him. There was one that was less than 20 mins away in walking distance. He remembered he didn't bring his guitar so he also looked up music stores near him and just so happened to find one nearby to the park. He quickly but quietly got ready and then made his journey to the music store.

Dooo's POV

Along the way walking there I saw someone at a stand selling something called a "Eternal Rose". They were art pieces that were hand crafted to look like a real rose that could last forever. I bought one to later give to Mcnasty. As I continued walking I would occasionally check my phone to see if Mcnasty had texted me yet and to check to make sure that I was still going in the right direction. I had arrived to the music store and immediately went to the acoustic guitar section and had picked out a guitar that was affordable but still good quality. After all I was going to give it to Mcnasty when I was finished using it. With the new guitar in hand I then put in the name of the park I was making my way to so I could get directions for it. As I approached the park my phone started to ring. It was Mcnasty calling me.

Dooo: "Hey there!"

Mcnasty: "Uh where are you?"

Dooo: "The park."

Mcnasty: "Which one?"

Dooo: "Whichever one is closest to the hotel."

Mcnasty: "How did you get there? Did you take my car?"

Dooo: "No! Of course not. I'd never take your car without permission."

Mcnasty: "Well I mean even if you did I wouldn't have mind."

Dooo: "Sooo are you gonna come meet me here or what?"

Mcnasty: "Yeah sure. Let me get ready and I'll let you know when I'm on my way."

Mcnasty's POV

I was still a bit tired from the night before but knowing that Dooo went out somewhere alone in a new state gave me motivation to get up and go see him. He's gotten so much more brave since we met. I think him losing his virginity gave him a confidence boost. I knew exactly which park he was talking about so I got ready and got in my car and made my way to him. As I pulled up I saw him sitting on a bench under a cherry blossom tree as its petals fell all around him. I didn't let my presence be known yet so I took a quick picture of him sitting there without him noticing. Still being unseen I sent him the pic. He took out his phone and as soon as he opened my message he immediately started looking around. When he spotted me he laughed and waved and called me over to him.

Mcnasty: "Nice guitar, where'd you get it?"

Dooo: "Store down the street."

Mcnasty: "How do you plan on taking that on the plane with you?"

Dooo: "I'm not. It's for you, and so is this."

Dooo reached behind him and pulled out what looked like was a rose.

Dooo: "It's an eternal rose. I got it for you because I'm going to love you for eternity."

I took the rose from Dooo and teared up a little. I wiped the tear away when he started strumming the guitar and began singing 'Fly me to the moon'. I always loved listening to his cover of this song on YouTube but I was now finally able to hear it in person being sang directly to me. So long to the days of me day dreaming of Dooo serenading this to me since it was finally happening. A dream come true. Once he was done singing and playing he looked at me and smiled. I held his hand and stared him in his eyes just taking in his beauty. He was a beautiful person inside and out. The most kind and gentle soul. On the ground amongst the many flower petals were gravel and rocks. I dug through and found a rock with a sharp edge. I walked with Dooo to the back of the tree and we carved our initials inside a big heart into it. We made our way to my car and put the guitar in the back. It was still rather early in the day so I suggested we went to the mall. Dooo excitedly agreed.
