There was silence for a while. Hermione was staring at the picture.
"My father called me Juliette," she muttered
"What?" Draco asked
"I-i thought it was just you know... Dad stuff. Calling their daughters princess or what my dad calls me, Juliette after Shakespeare's story."
"Granger there's some large brown envelope here," Draco informed, picking up a dusty envelope. Hermione then opened the envelope and saw some paper documents.
"They're birth certificates from St. Mungo's," Draco stated
Juliette Jean Northwest
Born: September 19, 1979
Mother: Cristelle Angelina Northwest nee Haunter
Father: Elliot John Northwest
"Granger, I think you're no muggleborn," Draco stated, staring at Hermione
"That's impossible," Hermione muttered, almost crying "I-i should have known before hand if I was. I mean you know I-i... I'm gonna ask the old lady," she muttered and immediately ran towards down the attic, holding the certificate
"Granger!" Draco immediately ran also towards Hermione.
As soon as Draco went out of the house, he knew something wrong.
"Granger," Draco called out but there was response and so he directly ran towards the house. He stopped when he saw the scene before him. It was Mrs. Nockbot still on the floor and Hermione kneeling down, crying. Draco immediately checked for a pulse but there was none. Draco looked at Hermione. Draco checked the kitchen to see any intruders but what was on the kitchen was flour everywhere and the words HAS on the floor using the flour. Draco ran to the kitchen door that was an exit to the back and saw a black hooded man far away.
"Hey! You!" Draco screamed, sprinting towards the man who was walking towards the barley field. The hooded figure looked back but Draco was to far to see who it was. The hooded man disappeared before Draco reached him. He apparated. Draco then ran back to the house and saw Hermione still on the floor.
"Come on, Hermione," he stated trying to help Hermione stand up.
"She's dead. H-how am I supposed to understand this!" she stated, holding the certificate tight. Draco sighed and looked at Hermione.
"Granger, I know now that your life is complicated and I understand that-"
"Don't do that!" she yelled, looking at Draco "Don't say that you understand because no one does okay?! You are not the one who is being falsely accused and is seen as a murderer! You are not the one who just knew that her parents turned out to be lying to her existence but she does not know the truth because the person who probably knew is dead in front of her! So don't tell me you understand me because you don't!," she added
"Granger just calm down and-"
"No! I will not! My parents are dead because of this! I saw too many people die in front of me and I don't know what to do anymore! I-i i'm done."
"Don't say that! Granger you're not the only who had their losses! People die and life is like that, okay? It's not your fault! So don't do that! I almost got killed helping you with this mess and can you just ca-"
"Why don't you just leave me then! If I may have cause any trouble, i'm sorry okay?! I did not mean to! You... You can just leave me here," she stated, hugging her waist. Draco sighed.
"I'm not leaving you, Granger," he stated "I got myself into this mess. It's my fault anyway. I somehow kidnapped you," Draco stated. Hermione released a chuckle and hugged Draco.
"Thank you, Draco Malfoy," she stated.
When they broke the contact, Draco smiled at her.
"We should go," he stated
"What about her?," Hermione asked, her eyes on Mrs. Nockbot's dead body
"I don't know. The aurors will come soon anyway. We have to go before they get here"
"We c-cant just leave her, Draco."
"I know but we have to go. If we'll stay here, they'll get us. It's getting dark anyway. I know a place. Let's go." Hermione sighed and nodded.
"You're right. Come on."
