When we got to the Waystation, it was dark outside.

I entered, walking past a few clusters of couches and chairs. Was it always this quiet?

Then I found Emmie and Jo. They were making a salad for dinner--mmm... yummy.

"Hey," Jo said.

"Hi, mom," I said.

"Looking for Cal?" Emmie asked. I nodded. "She just left. You should be able to catch her if you're quick."

"Thanks!" I shouted, running.

I burst out of the garage. I could feel my face getting red.  Hopefully my nose wasn't flaming.

"Cal!" I shouted. "Calypso!" She kept walking across the street. It had started to rain. Of course, just my luck. It was as if Cal couldn't hear me. Or, she just didn't care. That too.

She turned swiftly. "What do you want, Leo?" She growled.

"What are you out here for?"

"First, you need to tell me!"

"Looking for you! Well, I was at Cat's house, but--"

"You were cheating!"

"No, I wasn't! I was already with her before I freaking met you!"

"Oh, really, then why did you rescue me from Ogygia in the FIRST place, huh? I'd be better off there anyhow."

"Look, Cal..."

"Don't call me Cal, my name's Calypso!"

"Calypso, where are you going this late at night?" I asked, though I wasn't sure I wanted to know.

"To Tyler's house."

"Who?"

"Tyler. Since you've been cheating, he's my new boyfriend. He goes to Band Camp, and he plays the flute." Okay, so a "hot" flute player. Fine, same difference.

"But--"

"What do you mean, 'but'?!" She snarled. "You were cheating, and that's the end of it!"

"Yeah, cheating on Cat!" I cried. "I said, I was with her before the snow goddess sent me to your stupid island!"

She rolled her eyes. "Well. You're still with her, then. You're not with me, anyhow."

"That's not far off," I muttered. Calypso flicked her long hair, said a few curse words in Minoan, and walked away without a second glance. The rain sizzled around me, soaking my clothes. I stumbled back to the Waystation, cold and wet and heartsick. I wasn't sure whether to be happy that I could possibly still be with Catnip, or angry that possibly I couldn't. I had lost 2 girlfriends in less than 24 hours--or had I?

When I got back to the Waystation, Jo and Emmie were serving dinner. Georgina was rocking on a chair that was not a rocking chair.

"Find her?" Emmie asked.

"Yeah. She said something about going out with some Tommy guy."

Georgina looked at me, like, "We need to talk later." But she didn't talk for the rest of dinner. Afterwards, however, Georgina and I went into her bedroom.

Georgina cleared her throat. "So. Spill."

I told her about the last few days, and even before that, when I rescued Calypso from Ogygia.

"...And Calypso said that she was going out with her 'new boyfriend'."

"Tyler Truman? Chocolate-brown hair? Blue-silver eyes? Plays the flute? Currently dating Calypso...?" Georgina asked.

"Uh, how did you know?"

"Dunno, just did. She's been going out to his house all the time. Either there or Band Camp. Of course, Calypso will stop by her once in a while, but doesn't stay..."

I stayed awake long after Georgina had been called to bed. I suppose I might as well go back to Catnip. Because Calypso doesn't care anyways.

Finally, I fell asleep from worry and exhaustion. But mostly worry.
