"A bet."

"And what does this 'bet' entail, Schulman."

"We both try and catfish a stranger, whoever makes them fall in love faster wins the collab."

Nev looks at me.
I look the other way.

"You got a deal, Schulman."
When I look up again, I see Nev with his hand out, initiating a handshake.

I shake his hand.

Oh.
Oh.

I've never really had prolonged physical contact with Nev, mostly just high-fives and such.
But this....

It felt so familiar, yet strange at the same time.
I wanted more of it.

Nev and I have never really discussed our sexuality's with each other. We both choose to leave the romantic aspect of our life outside of our friendship. He doesn't ask me...I don't ask him.

Even though I have wanted to.

For years, it's seemed.

I want to know if he feels what I feel when we hold eye contact, or when we work so well together that it has me questioning everything.

I've been in love with Nev since we started this stupid show.

I've tried to show him.
One valentine's day, I got him a card and a bear.
He just saw it as a bromance type of thing.
I've never seen us as a bromance.

The only reason I didn't tell him about the sponsorship as soon as I heard is because I'm an asshole. Simple as that.

This catfish a stranger things would be just the thing that brings Nev to me.

Us spending time together, talking about how we are going to make these strangers fall in love with us, might make us fall in love.

I don't know.

All I know is I just want him.
And I've thought this for far too long.
