6 years laterLiam is lying in bed as he drowns in the ginormous duvet. He can hear his alarm going off but makes no effort to move and turn it off. He can hear his roommates Louis and Harry shuffling outside of the door and within a couple of minutes he hears one of them knocking on his door.
Liam doesn't want to wake up. He wishes he could sleep forever, but he can't. He has things to do, classes to attend, and friends to look after.
"Liam you have class in an hour. You have to wake up now" Liam hears Harry say from the other side of the door. Liam groans and finally shuts off his alarm while sitting up in his bed.
"Liam come on" Harry says.
"I'm up. I'm up" Liam says as he runs his hand through his messy hair.
"I'm making pancakes so be out in fifteen minutes so your food doesn't get cold"
"Yes mum" Liam teases but internally he's groaning. He's not mad at Harry in any way, he just doesn't want to eat right now and he doesn't want to make Harry feel bad for not eating his food.
'Ow' Liam silently says when he stands up. His joints feel like they're on fire but he pushes through the pain. He feels a bit dizzy so he holds onto the nightstand for a few seconds until the room stops spinning.
He undresses out of his warm pajamas and shivers when the cold air hits his skin. He changes into a clean pair of boxers before walking over to the full length body mirror that he keeps next to his closet.
Liam looks in the mirror and hates the person he sees in front of it. He glides his hand along his torso before grabbing at his skin. He despises his body. Can't stand to even look at it for too long, but sometimes he would stare at his body for hours trying to think of all of the ways he could look better. Ways he could look skinnier.
Just a few more pounds he always tells himself.
After a minute, Liam finally stops trying to grab at the nonexistent fat that he has on his body and walks over to his closet. He pulls out an oversized purple hoodie and puts it on. He then slides black jeans over his legs before going into the bathroom to brush his teeth.
He walks out of the bathroom to the smell of pancakes and already his throat is itching. He doesn't want to make Harry feel bad but he is going to try his hardest to avoid eating breakfast.
"Good morning Liam" Harry says with a smile. He's holding a plate with two pancakes soaked in butter and syrup. "For you" he says as he places the plate on the counter in front of a chair for Liam.
"Good morning Harry. Where's Louis?" Liam asks as he internally grimaces at the food.
"I think he's just getting out of the shower. Why do you look so tired? Did you not sleep well?" Harry asks with a slight concerned face.
Liam has always appreciated Harry so much. They met freshman year when Louis introduced Harry as his boyfriend and they've been friends ever since. Then, a couple of months later they all moved in together. Liam originally didn't want to. It's not that he didn't want to move in with his best friend and another close friend, but he didn't want to bother the happy couple or feel like a burden. Harry was persistent in trying to get Liam to move in, so Liam did eventually move in and he has never regretted it.
Harry is naturally a caring person with so much room in his heart. He could never a hurt a fly, literally. One time a fly happened to be just sitting on the counter, so Louis hit it with a newspaper and Harry didn't talk to him for a few hours. That's just the type of person Harry was.
"I couldn't sleep because of you two going at it all night. You guys have some weird nicknames for each other" Liam says with a fake grossed out face.
"We do not have weird nicknames for each other. You're weird" Harry says with a slight offended face. "But anyway, Niall should be coming over in a few minutes" he says.
