Chapter 16) Master of the Mansion

Y/n POV:

TW: cussing- not that much btw

Me, Shinobu, and Giyuu, all had made it to the masters mansion. Now standing with all the other hashiras, waiting for the master to arrive.

"Wake up!... I said wake up!!!" The kukushi yelled at tanjiro to wake up.

"You gotta- hey! Can you even hear me!? Are you going to sleep all day!?" The kakushi yelled while all of us were just staring at the scene.

"Wake the hell up!"

3rd person POV:

While that was happening Uzui-san started to talk 'I heard he was a demon slayer with a demon, I was expecting someone with more flair. But it's just some ordinary looking kid, that's too bad.' He thought in his mind

'It must see that this boy is to be on trial. So it shall be!' Rengoku thought

Y/n POV:

I see tanjiro open his eyes, as he looks at the people.

"What- who are these people?" He mumbles to himself. As the kukushi slams tanjiro head down onto the rocks below him.

"Don't Open your mouth until you're told!!!" The kukushi yells "Do you know who you're in the presence of!? These are the hashira!" The kakushi says.

I'm not sure if tanjiro knows if I'm a hashira yet. Or he just forgot. I don't remember telling him since it was a while ago.

As the hashira was speaking to tanjiro, he looked around. Oh! He's probably wondering where nezuko is... wait... where is she? I I think the kukushi took her to get healed... that's what I thought.

"Hey the hashira are speaking. What are you looking at?" The kukishi said eyeing tanjiro.

"That's the hashira?" He asked himself.

"Let's end his misery." Gyomei sadly says.

"Right!" Rengoku exclaimed.

"Let's do it with flair!" Uzui yells.

"Nezuko!" Tanjiro says, "where did you take her?! Nezuko? zenitsu? Inosuke? Murata? Y/n's right there. Wait y/n!?" Tanjiro turns to me.

I look at him before iguro starts talking, then I change my attention to him.

"Nevermind this boy... what will we do with the tomioka's?" He asks while laying in the tree. Like he always does.  "Just the both of them standing there without any restrains is making me feel ill." He tells everyone.

"Based off of what kocho told us they're as guilty as breaking corps rules."   He says, now pointing strait at us.

"What do you have to say for yourself, tomioka 1 and 2?" He asks, as Tanjiro and all the other pillars looks at me and giyuu.

"I think it's fine, they did come here without resisting. Let's come up with a penalty later!" Shinobu exclaimed, to everyone.

Shinobu asks about why he's traveling with a demon. Tanjiro answers, saying she's his younger sister. Which is true of course.

"If she's family, no wonder he's defending her." Iguro says, pointing at tanjiro. "I can't belive you for a moment." He hisses,

"So sad... he's been possessed by a demon, let's end this child's misery..." gyomei tell us. Which we obviously didn't.

Small time skip.

I start to feel... diffrent.

Like something could happen at any moment, that might change this whole situation.

That's when I get a glimpse of sanemi coming into view, with nezukos box.

"Well, well, well, what kind of fun do we have brewing here?" He says, holding the box in his hand.

"Is that the moron who is keeping a demon with him? What the hell do you think you're trying to pull?" Sanemi asks, Tanjiro.

That's when a kukushi comes in sight. "please, master shinazugawa, I must ask you to put down that box!" They say.

Shinobu stands up, and looks over. "shinazugawa please don't act out of line." She says.

"Run that by me again, kid?" Sanemi says.

He starts talking, until he takes out his sword, and decided to stab nezuko through the box.

Tanjiro runs up to sanemi, about to do something.

"Stop this! The master will be arriving shortly!" I yell,

but of course he keeps running at sanemi. Honestly he deserves it. But I don't want the master to come it and hear this or be told to by his children.(bc he blind. I'm done)

Tanjiro headbuttes sanemi. Knocking him to the ground. I hold in my laughter "sorry, sorry." I apologized, for me laughing.

"Damn you..." sanemi says.

"Tomioka number 1's outburst, must have been a distraction. But was still able to get a hit on shinazugawa" Iguro says.

Tanjiro yells at sanemi until.

I take a step towards them until.

"the master of the mansion has returned."

I look over and see the master coming out of his mansion.

"Hello, beloved children. I thank you for coming here this day." He says.

"The weather is strikingly nice today, perhaps with a blue sky." He says.

"And y/n-San, you are here correct?" He asks before all of us quickly got into the bowing positions sanemi holding tanjiros head down.

I'm in the middle of iguro, and sanemi. the whole other side from my brother, which I didnt really like but to late To go back.

As I answer the master, "Yes, it's nice to see you master!" I beamed.

"Wonderful, good to have you back, my child." He looked at me. Even though he couldn't see me. I smiled. He smiled back. Did he sense it or something?

As one of masters child reads the letter that urokadaki sent. Saying that nezuko will never eat a human even if starved. And that if she does eat a human himself, tanjiro kamado, giyuu tomioka, and y/n tomioka will all attone by committing seppuku. which apparently one of the masters children had to add, Me since he didn't put me down on the list. But It was only fair to do so.

I look over at tanjiro, as I sensed someone looking at me. I see tears coming out of his eyes.

I look back at the master because, being me, I would probably laugh if I stared at him any longer.
