Clay had successfully gotten out of the station undetected by the monitors the night before. He currently occupied a place on William's living room couch, a book with random names in his hands. They weren't even in alphabetical order.
The couple had arranged today for name picking. They needed new ones in order to travel to Kinoko. So far, it had only taken Clay a few minutes, but William. Let's just say he has certain tastes when it comes to names.
"Alburt?"
"Too weird."
"Tommy."
"Sounds like an annoying kid's name."
"Norman."
"No."
Clay let out a breath, closing the book with a snap. He looked to William, a sleepy hue noticeable in his eyes.
"Do you have any suggestions?"
"I like my name." William spoke, crawling over towards the other, laying his head in his lap, "I don't want to give it up."
"How about this," Clay began, running his fingers through William's curls, "You pick a part of your name that you'd like to keep, then we'll replace the other part with a new part of a different name."
William nodded, sighing happily. He never could get enough of head rubs.
"I wanna keep Will."
Clay nodded. He closed his eyes, thinking for a moment.
"Willman?"
"Sounds a lot like William."
"True." Clay opened his right eye, it being a purely white. He had lost his vision in that eye due to Pandora Box's strict interrogation methods. He couldn't explain why it changed from emerald green to pristine white, but if he had to guess, it's because he keeps it closed a lot of the time.
"Wilburt?"
William seemed to think about that one. He liked it, but the 'T' at the end made it sound weird to him.
"Can you get rid of the t?"
"What? You mean, like, 'Wilbur'?" Clay asked, opening his left eye to see William's reaction. To his surprise, the brunette smiled up at him and nodded.
"I like that one. Wilbur." William smiled and hummed in satisfaction as Clay brushed some chocolate curls out of his face.
"Me too." Clay smiled, his pearly white teeth showing. He brushed some strands of dirty blonde hair out from his own face, keeping eye contact with William. "Last name?"
"Soot." William didn't need to think of an answer. He wanted to honor his mother's side of the family, so he's gonna take her last name.
Clay nodded, brushing back yet another dirty blonde strand, satisfied with the answer.
William smiled brightly, hovering a hand up to Clay, "Hello, love. My name's Wilbur Soot. But you can call me Wilbur. What's yours?"
Clay let a soft chuckle escape his lips, placing his hand on William's and gently squeezing it, allowing the other to shake their hands in a calm manner. "Hello, Wilbur Soot, I'm DayDream Captain. You may call me Dream."

Dream stood in front of the bathroom mirror, staring at his new hair color. He had changed it to a snowy white so he could disguise himself better, but he hadn't pictured himself with the color. Well, he did, that's why he bought it. But he didn't think it would look so goddamn good on him.
