Chapter 7 - 'Fine'

Evan quickly took hold of Jonathon's hand making the other squeak, pulling him to the lounge room where the pizza was sitting on the coffee table. He let go of Delirious's hand and sat on the couch "what movie do you wanna watch?" Evan asked as he slid into his usual slouching position. Jonathon shrugged "I don't care Evan", sitting down next to him. Vanoss smirked slightly "alright then...scary movie it is" he looked at the other with a grin on his face knowing how Delirious freaked out so easily, especially over horror movies. He rolled his eyes "of course you choose a scary movie..." Delirious pulled his knees up and hugged them.  Evan chuckled "aw is Jonathon scared of a little movie?"  He teased as he flicked through a couple of movie choices.  Delirious blushed lightly "I'm not scared.." he weakly defended himself. Vanoss just nodded without saying anything, putting the remote down as the movie started "you gonna have some pizza?" he asked as he took a slice. Delirious nodded and took a slice as well.

Half way through the movie Delirious didn't have the apatite to continue eating. He sat there with his eyes practically glued to the tv. He managed to pull the blanket off the back of the couch and wrapped it around himself shaking slightly. Vanoss just laughed when he felt the blanket move out from behind him, He started feeling pretty bad for making him watch it. "You know I can turn it off if you want?". Delirious shook his head without looking away, Vanoss had already seen the horror movie that was playing and he knew a jumpscare was going to happen. Evan just watched Jonathon with an amused expression. Suddenly a loud scream came from the TV screen and a scary face popped up. Jonathon jumped as a high-pitched squeak escaped his mouth and hid his face with the blanket.

Evan just laughed and shook his head, "if your not going to watch it...I'll turn it off" he asked as he poked the shivering other that some how managed to move right over to him, leaning against him. Jonathon peeked out from the blanket "I am watching it Evan.." he whined.  "Alright alright..." Vanoss put his arms up over the back of the couch, sighing. At least Delirious was keeping him entertained but he couldn't help but feel a little guilty. Evan decided to tease him some more; He stood up and started to walk out of the room. Delirious quickly grabbed Evan"s shirt "W-where are you going man..." he asked keeping an eye on the television. "I need to pee, do you need to know everything?". Jonathon blushed a little keeping his grip on the other's shirt "W-well I need to go too" He lied; Jonathon was always a terrible liar so Vanoss knew when he was lying to him and when he was actually serious. Evan rolled his eyes and continued to walk, making Delirious fall off the couch with a clunk.

Vanoss turned around and quickly lend down to him helping Delirious up trying his best not to laugh. "Sorry..pfft" Evan couldn't help it he started laughing. Jonathon also tried not to smile but failed "yeah yeah...sure you are". The two stood there snickering quietly. Evan still had Delirious"s hands in his not taking any notice to the television. Another jumpscare popped up on the television making Delirious quickly jump forward into Evan.  The shorter man clung onto Vanoss with his eyes squeezed shut. Evan blushed softly as he picked up the remote, switching the television off. He sighed and patted Delirious on the back "it's ok man I turned it off" Jonathon blushed red as he realised what he did quickly pulling off of Evan looking up at him with a red face "..uh s-sorry Van-Evan!" . Before Vanoss could say anything Jonathon ran off into his room.  He quickly shut the door behind locking it. Delirious lend against the door and slid down sitting on the floor, he shook his head. Why did he have to do that? He knew it wasn't such a big deal but Jonathon was lucky enough to have escaped from that moment otherwise he would have done something stupid. His heart was racing, not just because of the adrenaline from the scare but also from being so close the Vanoss. Rubbing his face trying to calm down there was a knock on the door behind him. Delirious rolled his eyes knowing he had to open the door otherwise Evan would get suspicious.

He stood up and opened the door still with a red face. Vanoss looked at him with his signature blank expression "why did you run off like that?" he asked as he pushed pass Jonathon letting himself in the room. Delirious could tell that Vanoss was concern and he would probably as well if one of his friends ran off like that all of a sudden. Evan took a seat on the bed keeping his gaze on the other "...well? Why?" he asked a second time getting annoyed.

Jonathon took a seat next to him and kicked his feet back and forth slowly "I was just scare..." he mumbled. He mentally face palmed himself at the stupid first excuse that popped in mind. Vanoss shook his he "Jonathon...don't lie to me" Delirious clenched his fists "I'm not lying...". He stood up off the bed walking over to the door "I wanna sleep...can you leave me alone for a little bit?" Delirious mumbled as he held onto the door swinging on it slightly.

Vanoss shrugged "fine" he said bitterly as he got up of the bed and walked out. Delirious just cringed at that 'fine'; he sounded so pissed off at him...he probably was. Closing the door, Jonathon turned the lamp off and hopped into bed. He didn't get much sleep while on the plane so as soon as he laid down Delirious drifted off to sleep.

Evan went into his bedroom not even bothering to clean up the mess that the two left in the lounge room. He sat down on his bed turning the light off, Vanoss just sat there for a moment thinking. Why was Delirious acting so weird? Was it the movie? Or did the stalker send him another email?...or did he do something?

Evan shook his head with an irritated groan. He decided to wait until Delirious told him why he was acting so weird...He didn't want to push him anymore than he needed to. Vanoss laid there looking up at his ceiling as he felt his eyes droop. He rolled onto his side and hugged a pillow to his chest, just imagining the pillow being Jonathon and he was keeping him safe. For some reason that helped him get to sleep even if he knew it was just a pillow and Jonathon was in the other room across from him not in his arms.
