Today is where I go back to being miserable. My stepfather is back from his business trip. Me and Michael have been hanging a lot lately while James was gone. It was the most amazing two weeks I've ever had in my life. And I hope there will be more... Me and Michael have been getting as we hung out together, but I feel like my mother has been noticing. After school we would mostly be hanging out in my favorite spot for hours and she has been getting suspicious about it. To be honest I'm terrified if she finds out what I've been doing because she will go and tell James and I don't want him to find out. All I need to do is be careful around her. That girl Evelyn has been giving me weird looks every time she sees me at school. I just don't understand what her problem is. Me and Michael are just friends. You see, this is how I think of it: "Guys can have girls that are friends and girls can have guys that are friends. The only thing your partner ask of you is just to be honest. And to also be respectful of your relationship, and if not then that's a type of person that doesn't deserve your friendship." But I try my best to ignore her, but every time I walk away or turn around so I don't have to look at her, I have this weird feeling like she's right behind me breathing down my neck and it's so frustrating. But I don't do anything. I don't instigate the situation because it will just get worse.

Today I'm heading back to school and hoping today isn't so bad. I meet up with Grace at the front of the school and hangout and talk a little before class starts. And then we see Evelyn and Michael show up to school together. "Wow, so I guess they are a couple now huh? They are always coming to school together but he always denies that they aren't together. But it seems obvious that they are. They are just very weird sometimes. I just don't get it. But to end that conversation there's no reason why me and Michael can't talk or hangout together." "Girl I don't understand it either, I don't think anyone does at this point. She is just a mean girl like all the others girls here and she feels that if she controls people that she is the coolest girl in the school. But I hate to tell her but it doesn't it just makes her look stupid at the end of the day. But whatever that's her problem we have better things to worry about let's go to class before we are late. And hey, don't worry about them you deserve so much better than him." After the last bell rang for dismissal me and Grace were talking by the park before she went home and then just when Grace was about to go home Evelyn decides to show up and pushes me. " What did I tell you? I told you to stay away from Michael. He is mine not yours!" Evelyn yelling. " We are just friends nothing more nothing less. He has every right to have girls that are friends. There's nothing wrong with that. And Michale has told me many times that you and him aren't dating you just want him because you sleep with him and that's all you get from him. You want more than that but he doesn't why can't you get that through your head." Then she slaps me and I fall to the ground. I get up and I punch her in the face. She's bleeding and everyone can see. It wasn't long before Michael and his friends came to separate us. Michaels friends took Evelyn home and Michael took me home.

"Are you okay?" Michael said with concern on his face. "Yea I'm fine. She just really irritates me when she's all over you and she gives me these weird looks in school all because I talk to you. It's just not right at all. I'm literally doing nothing wrong." " I know you're not doing anything wrong. It's not your fault, It's hers and I will take care of it later, please don't worry about it. Everything will be alright. I promise." "Thank you I really appreciate this. You know she should apologize even though I know she's not going to but she should." " And you're right she should but I doubt she would too because she is a very stubborn person. But she also needs to understand that the whole world doesn't revolve around only her. Like she needs to start taking some responsibility for her actions." "Yes she does but I just don't understand why she is just so mean to me I didn't do anything to her." We both paused for a minute just looking at one another. He smiles to me and his hand cups my face and smiles at me. " Don't worry about love. I will talk to her later today." He saids with a smile still. "Home sweet home." He saids. "Thank you for walking me home. I better get in and go straight to me room before my mom sees my face. Thank you again. I'll see you later." Before I got to turning around to walk to the front door he grabs me and pulls me into a sweet and gentle hug. Then he cups my face again. "Your welcome love. If you want me to walk you home from school some days let me know I'd be more than happy to do it." He saids with a smile on his face. We say goodbye to each one last time and then I head inside. He waited for me to go inside the house to leave. It sounds way too quiet in the house and that can only mean one thing. I'm home alone. And thank the lord that I am I get to be free for a while and to feel comfortable.
