~The next morning ~
~hyunjins pov~
When I woke up I felt someone jumping on the bed. I woke up and saw my little cousin Seungeun jumping on my bed.
"Jinnie Jinnie wake up. Auntie is making bacon and sausages." The small girl says.
"Seungeun. Go downstairs please. J-J and I are going to sleep for a little longer. I promise we will play dolls with you after our meeting later" I tell her.
"Aw. Ok Jinnie. I love you" she says. I smile and kiss my cousins head.
"Love you too princess" I say before she leaves shutting the door.
"Making promises without asking me Jinnie?" I hear Dae say as she kept cuddled close to me.
"Sorry Dae. Shes 5 so she might forget about it. But if not all we have to do is play family with dolls." I tell her.
"Thanks for telling her to let us sleep. I'm still tired after staying up basically all night." She tells me.
"Then sleep. We have about another hour until my mom will come get us so we can go to the meeting with Mr Park" I say to her. She nods and goes back to sleep. I get out of bed and close the curtains and shut off the light.

I woke up to hear the shower in my bathroom going. it mustve been Dae. She isnt in the bed. I head downstairs and see my mom making Tteokbokki. She probably heard Dae last night at dinner talking about how she hasnt been able to eat Tteokbokki after her halmeoni, imo, and samchon moved to China (Grandmother, Aunt, and Uncle).
Her halmeoni used to make it for her and her siblings. Their mom was never never given the family recipe and never learn how to make it so because she was either to busy or just didnt want to. So my mom was treating Dae. well she thinks its Jae. i should talk to her.
"Hey Eomma can I talk to you about Jae? " I ask while sitting at the breakfast counter.
"Of course dear. Is he liking it here? " she asks.
"Uh yeah he is. But um. That isn't Jae. Jae is in the hospital. Mr Park asked his sister to fill in. So the person who is staying with us is Dae. Is that ok? " I ask while looking at my mom. She froze for a second and thought before Dae came downstairs wearing sweat pants and one of my hoodies.
"Morning Mrs Hwang" she says before sitting beside me.
"Yeji and Seungeun are leaving tomorrow. We can move Dae into there once the girls are gone. " mom says.
"Oh you told her?" Dae looks to me. I nod as my mom places a bowl of tteokbokki in front of her. she smiles and looks up at my mom. "Thank you Mrs Hwang" she said while giving my mom a small bow.
"Honey you can call me Eomma if you like" my mom tells Dae. The younger girl nodded and started eating her tteokbokki. After everyone ate I went upstairs to get dressed so we could go the the meeting with Mr Park. When i got back down Dae was talking to my mother about what she needed to tell him.
"Im ready. Lets go" I said to them. We all left the house and went to the car. Dae and I sat in the back seat while my cousin Yeji sat in the front passenger. Yeji had a practice with a group jyp was planning on debuting next year. Dae rested her head on my shoulder as we drove to the company building. Once we got there Yeji went to her practice room on the 4th floor while Eomma, Dae and I stood in the lobby waiting for the receptionist to tell us to give to Mr Parks office.
"Hwangs and Jeon. Mr Park will see you now" she tell us. Dae leads the way to his office. I didn't notice this before but she had a small backpack that had papers with banking transactions from the account where the money from being an idol was kept along with other stuff. Dae knocked on the door to his office.
"Come in" we could hear him say from inside the office. We stepped in and Mr park wasn't at his normal desk. He was at a large table because this morning Dae emailed him saying she had a bunch of physical evidence of some stuff. There was a couch on the other side of the table for the three of us. Dae sat in between me and my mom.
"So Dae. I understand that this is about your parents. Do you have evidence of what you say they've been doing? " he asks her
"yes I do sir" she said she pulls a paper file out of her bag. She opened it and laid the bank statements that said almost all of the money in the account was transferred to her parents account every month.
"What else is there? " he asks. She takes out a hospital record along with a photo of a bruised cheek that looked to be her older sister.
"This record said my sister fell down the stairs. My father hit her because she was seen with a boy from school. He then pushed her down the stairs which she got a concussion and broken arm from. You can ask her and Jae" she says.
"If you ask the hospital I have been banned from seeing my brother. My parents reasoning I do not have on record but they said and I quote 'Because its distracting you from getting me and your mother our money'. 'All the money that you and your brother make through this idol bullshit is going to me and your mother' then when I asked what my brother and I they said 'You get nothing. Because thats what you deserve. You were never good enough for this family. Your brother isnt even good enough for this family' then I left" she tells him.
"I see. Now if you want to press charges you and your siblings would either be your own family but since you and Jae are still minors and you sister lives abroad I think it would be best if someone adopted you" he tells her. She nods
"but who?" She asks him.
"I have talked to my wife and she agrees that it would be good if you and your brother are under our guardianship" he says.
"That sounds good. Thank you sir" she says.
"Now before my family can adopt you we need to set a court date and get the evidence. I need you to go back to your parents house and record the stuff they say to you" he tells her. She agrees.
Once the meeting was done we drove back to my house. When we got in the house Dad and I went to my room and watched a movie.
"Mr Park is going to message me the court date one we get enough evidence against my parents" she tells me while we were laying on my bed.
"Well until Mr park or someone else adopts you you are always welcome here" I remind her before kissing her cheek. She blushes and smiles.
