Sunghoon craned his neck above the coffee machine as he heard the cafe door's bell chime. He crossed his fingers, hoping to spot a mop of light brown hair coming in. However, he was again disappointed when he saw Mr Kim striding to the counter.

Right.

He sighed, trying his best to turn his attention back to the order he was preparing. Yet, his mind continued to roam elsewhere. Specifically, to the image of a certain puppy-like male.

God, he couldn't stop fretting about him.

"Still hasn't come, huh?" Sunghoon turned to see Heeseung staring at the door in skittishness. "Yeah, no sign of him," he murmured, returning to the coffee he was making.

The older strode up beside him, frustratedly pulling out some utensils.

"That brat gets at least 20 third-degree burns, yet he doesn't bother telling us if he's okay," Heeseung mumbled.

"Do you have his number?" Sunghoon asked. "Nope, only ever talk to him when he comes here, heck I don't even know his home address," Heeseung groaned.

Sunghoon sealed the lid of the hot beverage he had concocted and called out his customer's name. However, before the man could accept his order, a wild Sunoo emerged.

"WAIT" he yelled. The poor dude jumped back in fright. "So sorry sir, we had a bit of an accident last week. I just need to give you something for safety," Sunoo apologised, pulling out a cloth cup cover.

He took the beverage from Sunghoon, slipped on the little woollen item, and handed it to the perplexed customer. "It's to make sure that the coffee won't spill on you directly in case you drop it or it slips." he smiled.

The man smiled in actuality. "Thank you for your concern, I hope whoever had such an accident is okay, coffee burns can be very painful." Sunoo chuckled awkwardly, shooting a side-eye to Sunghoon.

After the man had gone back to his seat, Sunghoon prepared himself for another scolding. "Hmmm yeah, I wonder if that customer is okay..." Sunoo muttered furiously, shoving some napkins into his partner's hands.

Sunghoon grumbled. "Hey I'm really sorry, but I don't know how to check up on him. Some guy just took off with him as soon as his ankle was in a better condition. He didn't give us a chance to say shit."

Sunoo turned around, frowning. "You do realise you had no idea who that person was? What if it was a stranger?!?!" he hissed, startling a nearby girl.

Heeseung, who was watching warily from the counter, quickly ran off when he saw Sunoo's escalating mood.
