Silent Love

Chapter 2 - Storms and Bangs

(It was in the middle of the night, everyone had eaten their snacks and gone to bed.
Except for one strange soul that wandered through the dark and stormy night.
Now that I think of it...Who might?)

Bang! Clash! Boom! Loud sounds could be heard from the kitchen and outside at the same time.
Nix had woken up from a nightmare and the sounds, so he got up and went downstairs to find out what the commotion was. He'd head downstairs, with blurry vision, and found a little girl sitting on the counter facing away from him. He'd step down quietly. "Annie? Kylee? Is that you?" Nix would repeat multiple times until he got an unpleasant reaction. The head would slowly turn to face Nix, his heart would pound, with the silence in the room and the dark of the night widening.

"Uncle!" Annie screamed, in shock. "Hey kiddo, what are you doing down here, being this late at night, huh?" Nix would look confused, but relieved. "Oh, I was just hungry and I tried to take out some snacks, then pots fell and banged on the ground..." Annie would frown.
"Hey, how about I help you? Seems you've made a bit of a mess here, plus people probably are waking up now from the sound." Nix would offer his hand to Annie in a polite gesture.
Annie would grab Nix's hand and hop down off the counter, she'd sit at the kitchen dining table awaiting a delicious meal. 

While Nix was making Annie's food, you'd hear stomping coming from the steps. 'Who could that be?' Nix wondered. The stomping would get louder, and somebody with a black hoodie on, black tights, and a blanket wrapped around them would come down the stairs. "Kelsey!" Nix shouted. "Shhh, nix. There are people still sleeping." Kelsey would remind Nix. "Ah, I guess you are right. My bad." Nix would shrug, embarrassed.

"What are you guys doing down here anyway?" Kelsey mentioned with a questionable face. 
"We are making snacks for Annie, since she is hungry." Nix would cross his arms, with a tired look. "This late at night, huh?" Kelsey would scoff. Annie would then groan, signaling for Nix to hurry. "Okay look Kelsey, do you want to help me, or go back to bed? Because this snack isn't gonna fix its self up." Nix would offer. "Sure, I don't mind helping out here and there for Annie." Kelsey seemed delighted.

Kelsey would grab a few snacks from the pantry, she knew which types Annie liked.
"Hey Kelsey, could you possibly hand me a few seasonings from the counter?" Kelsey would nod and toss a few seasonings to Nix. Annie would be impatiently waiting at the table, swinging her feet up and down. The clock would strike 5 AM, and Annie would yawn. Kelsey and Nix would gather up their foods and bring their snack for Annie to the table, Annie would seem pleased and Nix would sit down in exhaustion. Kelsey would head back upstairs, while Annie was stuffing food into her mouth. 

Annie would be back up in her room fast asleep, everybody would be up in their rooms as well.
Morning came along quick, and people would be out of their rooms starting for the downstairs to eat or get ready for their day quickly. Most people would be getting up and dressed, little or few would be downstairs eating or watching television. A noise came from outside, sounding like a car engine. Many stopped what they were doing to go look out their windows, to find a....party bus? What was that doing here? People would be screaming and yelling, running up to the bus, as a few people got out they were headed for another house. Was there a party that nobody in the household new about...?
