Climbing Mountians

Chapter 3

Anna-Marie went off the the plane into the bone chilling snow. She shuddered and took out the coat from her suitcase. The snow had started and combined with mountain fog had made seeing impossible.

"Ah, it's so cold. Will I find the Grand Master and Mistress?"

"Nope we will be staying at the base of the mountains working. When you're ready to go we will go," Danny said confidently.

Anna nodded and went to the simple log cabin hotel. She will go to the train station tomorrow. The station was, unfortunately, 2 hours away. She had gone to bed early at 7:00 to be prepared for her journey.

The next day was going to be exhasting. Anna-Marie started to walk toward the station, she noticed a little garden in the snow on the roadside. There was a road that connected to the railroad on her map. It went through the garden. That maybe someone's garden, Anna thought. She thought against it and proceeded through the garden.

There were snow covered tomatoes,cucumbers,and different types of squash. Anna heard a whoosh and almost had her head taken off by a meteor hammer.

"Thief! Tresspasser! How dare you come through my garden," hissed a light blonde woman with a thick Russian accent.She whipped the hammer around and swung at Anna with surprising speed and strength.Anna scared pulled out her sword and blocked the ball from making contact with her.

"Stop!!! I didn't mean to pass to through your garden!!"

"Liar," said the skinny,tall girl. Anna swung her sword at her but was blocked by the hammer. She finally almost cut her when the girl stopped.

"I musn't hurt you. This weapon is for protection only the Grand Master told me that"

"Really tht's what Mrs. Olgy had said to me," Anna mused.

"Who is Mrs. Olgy? Is it the Samaria trainer the Grand Mistress had told me about?"

"Why yes! Have you trained with the Grand Master and Mistress."

"Da.She taught me everything! How wield meteor hammers,swords and shoot bow and arrows."The displayed a new warm attitude than the one she had early which was filed with ice and resentment.

"I'm Anna by the way"

"Isa. I came from Kazakhstan to study with the Grand Couple. I loved the town where she lived and started my own farm."

"That's great!"Anna smile faded when she remembered Isa and her battle. "So why were you so hostile."

"Because you trespassed. What was I supposed to do? Welcome you? Invite you to kill me or steal all my possessions. You never know with people." Anna apologized again Isa was right she was wrong to tress pass.

"Isa are you going to see the Grand Couple? Can you come with me so I don't feel alone?" Isa pursed her lips as she thought about it. This girl she barely knew but she had her weapons if things got out of hand. Anna-Marie did look harmless and she seemed responsible and disciplined. Plus Anna sounded desperate and she did want to set up a new training with the Grand Mistress and Master.

"Alright then I will do it! Wait so I can grab my bags." 2 hours later the were walking towards the train station. The train stop looked like something out of an old western movie. There were the snow covered mountian in the back. The station was bustling with people of all ages and races.

"This is overwhelming," Anna said.

"Follow me," said Isa as she pushed them to the teller to buy tickets for the train that pulled up to the stop. They got on board and saw a little girl about 9 years with a note.

"I know that note", exclaimed Isa,"The trainer at my village gave that to me to go see the Grand Couple!"

"Mmm-hm. I am going to start training with them. Are you going? My name is Talia"

"Uh, I'm Anna-Marie and this is Isa. We are going too do you want to walk with us? You're so young"

"Uh s-sure. That would be great." Isa and Anna sat next to Talia as the great train chugged on the icy slopes.
