Another day of work. Yesterday may have been a little, much, but that was in the past! No use in worrying about it now. Maybe you should just... avoid the utility tunnels, for now. You did your best to silence your thoughts as you drove towards the Pizzaplex- turning up the radio to fill the silence that fell over you. Aside from the whole 'dangerous endoskeletons' that lurked under the Pizzaplex, you were convinced that the drive was one of the worst parts. It felt needlessly long- and honestly? You didn't like having to drive. Especially over long highways. You had to force down your worries, though. At least the pay was pretty good, and all your co-workers were always friendly.
You parked in your usual spot, and entered the Pizzaplex. After clocking in, you made your way towards the atrium. You didn't see Rena or Rain, and you took that as your sign to get straight to work. You examined your watch, and the tasks were seemingly similar to yesterays, only with two new additions. Wipe down the counters, and clean off the tables down in Superstar Daycare with Rain.
You were roughly midway through your tasks, only having wiped off the tables and restocked the bathrooms, when you were on your way to wipe down the food counters. Someone else seemed to have different ideas, though, as you were quickly interrupted by someone tapping on your shoulder. Whoever they were, they had nearly given you a heart attack from the sudden startle. You whipped around to see a familiar face.
"Calm down, glitter!" Chica laughed, placing a hand on your back. "Just came to say hey!" She chirped.
"Ah- hey, there," you trailed off, your attention turning away from the chicken and to a girl behind her. She was the girl from the other day- Lucy, was it?- who took Chica away during the tour she had brought you on. She wore the same outfit, but now you could see it clearly. The thick suit was covered in white, with small pink accents- some of which even glowed- with large platform boots that had one of those cool glowing soles you desperately wanted when you were still in high school.
"Hey! Thought I'd swing by and introduce myself!" She spoke in a cheery tone, extending a hand towards you as she smiled. "Chica was begging to come here, anyways."
"Well, I'm [Y/N]-" You responded, shaking her hand. She leaned up against the wall as you worked, continuing to talk.
"I'm Lucy, Chica's handler." She glanced over towards the animatronic, who was... going through your cleaning cart? Lucy sighed and approached the chicken, picking up your cleaning spray and smacking her with it. Chica let out a squawk as she suddenly sprung up to meet her handler's gaze, pulling trash out of her mouth. Lucy just seemed to give a disapproving look as the chicken stood there like a deer in headlights- while you stood there, unsure on what to even say at the situation.
Lucy let out a sigh, turning towards you as Chica cleaned up the small mess she made. "It's not... uncommon for the band members to have little quirks. We do still try to iron them out, though, as... eating trash in public isn't really a good look, you know?"
"Yeah, yeah..." You responded, continuing to wipe down the counter as she carried on.
"Anyways, we'll get out of your hair soon, but I thought I'd bring up something," she spoke, resuming her spot of leaning against the wall as she stuck her hands in the pocket of her jumpsuit. "I know Chica's gonna ask eventually, but... how would you like to join in on some fun after work? Kinda like, a 'hang out' or something."
The chicken perked up at hearing this, her blue eyes settling in on you, eagerly awaiting your response. You hesitated for a moment, before opening your mouth to ask. "To... hang out?"
Lucy smiled as she raised a hand, a smile crossing her face. "We usually invite a lot of people, and really anyone's invited, as long as you're on good terms with Chica. And, unless you've done something to seriously wrong her, everyone is on good terms with Chica."
