『••✎••』

I swear you won't be waiting months for the next chapter after this. It shouldn't be hard to finish them now that this chapter is out of the way. [This one is smaller then the normal word count because I wanted to just get to the point]

Minho turned his attention to Jisung. He didn't want to hear whatever else Jeongin had to say, nothing unless it came from Jisung himself. "What is he talking about?..."

His voice was strained, stress and anxiety creeping up and consuming his entire form. It was too much and too soon for him to just deal with. It seemed like whenever Minho thought he was in a good place he'd turn around and something would fuck it all up.

"Jisung?"

Jeongin walked up behind Minho, placing his hands on his shoulders- staring over him to his older cousin. "You didn't tell him? Aww...poor boy." He patted Minho tenderly, faking a sympathetic look for him only for it to change to a domineering sneer when he looked at Jisung.

He pulled away just to double over in laughter, Jisung really did look the most pathetic when he was caught in a lie. "Don't tell me you used that lame old trick on him."

"What the fuck is he talking about?"

Once again, the human directed his question to Jisung who looked as if he'd sewn his mouth shut. Minho walked towards him, gripping his shirt and shaking lightly. "Answer me dammit!"

It only pissed Minho off more that his supposed 'partner' wasn't saying anything to ease his mind or at all for that matter. He just stood there quietly with a guilty look on his face.

Jeongin reached out and grappled on to Minho's wrist, turning him around so they were facing each other. "Did Jisung tell you that the two of you were connected? Hearts intertwined as one?" He looked down at Minho with so much intensity that it was overwhelming.

"Did he tell you that if you tried to leave you'd die?"

When Minho nodded his head as to say yes, Jeongin quickly reached up to stroke his hair. "Poor bunny."

Jeongin's eyes trailed down to the ring. He knew everything about it already but why not make a big spectacle over it? He was already doing it with everything else. "Did he get you this..how cute?" Jeongin held his hand up, looking from his ring finger over to Jisung's matching one. "You know-"

"Be quiet... This has nothing to do with you." Jisung finally spoke up, the sound of his voice was terrifying at the moment. A tone Minho wasn't used to.

When he took a good luck at Jisung the male just seemed very bothered, as if he really had something to hide. "Come." He roughly pulled Minho into his chest and away from the other demon

Jeongin didn't care much, that didn't stop his mouth from moving. As long as Minho could hear him then that's all that mattered. "You know Jisung doesn't actually love you, that had to be a lie. Us demon's dont have feeling of empathy."

By now, tears were freely falling down Minho's face. The words hurt and he couldn't deny that but it hurt even worse to think that he'd been played this entire time.

He turned to Jisung, wiping his face roughly to try and get himself to stop crying. "Is it true?" He knew what he wanted to hear, Minho just hoped that it was the truth.

"Baby- no...it's-" Jisung held his hand out to hold the other's but when he reached for him Minho would just pull away. He was trying to stand his ground, not make himself look any weaker then he possibly already did. "That's not the whole truth."

"Just give me a yes or no."

"No!"

Jisung said it with so much certainty that he obviously meant it. Minho just didn't know if he could trust that or him ever again.

"Jisung...this all can't be a lie. Is what Jeongin's saying the truth or no? Even if it's a small amount."

He was confused, nothing made sense. Nothing was explained to him in detail so at this point Minho wasn't sure what to do. He couldn't exactly trust Jeongin because he was just never trustworthy and Jisung? He didn't know about Jisung.

For Jisung, It was hard to communicate what really needed to be said. His thoughts were jumbled and he just couldn't get it out. He didn't know how to word it. Too much was switched around to make him seem like the bad guy when in reality that wasn't it.

Jisung barely had the energy to speak or fight for himself.

"I..." Jisung dropped his head, deciding that he couldn't take the look on Minho's face any longer. "Yes."

And that was all it took for those tears to start up again.

"Jeez! Look how hard it was to get that out of him. Old habits die hard, I guess. " Jeongin sounded all cheery by the emotion he was able to cause, absolutely refusing to read the room.

Jisung lifted his head, making eye contact with the male.

He looked broken, an emotion Jeongin had never seen before playing in his eyes. This was what he wanted, to hurt Jisung as bad as he used to hurt him when they were younger.

It wasn't enough, but it'll do. It was satisfying beyond belief.

"Minho." He called his name, smiling in a comforting manner that only had the human feeling uneasy. What next, what else was there to say?

"Have you ever asked what kind of demon Jisung was?"

Of course not, what did that even mean? Minho remembered briefly how Jisung would call Hyunjin the mischievous type but he wasn't so sure how that correlated with anything.

"No. He's a prince? Royalty?" Add onto the pile of shit that rested on Minho's shoulders. He couldn't think straight, thoughts in jumbles.

Jeongin's head tilted, taking a second to think before answering back. "Right, but did you ever ask what kind?" He went ahead and answered for him when he noticed that Minho wasn't going to answer.

"Deception. His entire family is skilled in the art of deception."
