A young boy about the age of five was walking home with his school bag. His lilac hair blew in the wind and he was sporting a bandaid and a bruise on his cheek. He kicked at the gravel as he thought about how to tell his mom how he got the bruise. He slowed down his pace as he noticed a lot of hero's seemed to be out today. He caught a flash of black and grey out of the corner Of his eye before he gasps softly realizing it was Eraserhead. He decided to follow him as he realized he was headed in the same direction of Shinsou's house. As they got closer he noticed the crowd of people in the streets and farther up ahead there was some hero's fighting a villain. Shinsou lost sight of Eraserhead as he watched one the hero's Endeavor punch the villain into his house " mom! Dad!" Shinsou gasps as he takes off running to the building. "Woah woah woah listener you can't go over there" a tall blonde man stepped in front of Shinsou stopping in front of him before he bumped into the man. "I don't cawe" Shinsou said as he dodged around him and ran over to the rubble of his house. " Mom!" He cried as he started to move the rubble but was having problems with his small body. "Listener watch out!" The man from earlier said as some more rubble from nearby buildings started to crumble around Shinsou. Shinsou happened to look up just as the rubble was about to fall on him and shielded his face with his arms but he felt something wrapped around his body and pulled him out of the way. He trembled slightly in someone's arm as he gathered enough courage to see who it was. He would have been more excited to see that it was Eraserhead but the weight of his parents was on his mind. Eraserhead set him down by the blond man "stay here okay" he said before running back over to the fight that seemed to be going well. Shinsou frowned since he didn't want to stay put but the man grabbed his hand "it will be okay. Once the villain is detained, we'll look for your parents okay" he said, making Shinsou nod his head.
It took another ten minutes for the villain to be caught, in the process more things were destroyed. "Okay so let the police look for survivors and we should get you checked out by the emts" the man said pulling Shinsou over to the ambulance. Deep down Shinsou had a bad feel but he let the man take care of him. He felt a small pain in his wrist but he was too upset to care to look. "What's your name?" The man asked as the emts looked over Shinsou. " Shinsou Hitoshi yours?" he mumbled. "Present Mic at your service!" he said, flashing him two fingers guns at him to lighten the mood. One of the other heroes came over to Mic and whispered something to him that made him frown a little. " Shinsou, do you know anything relative you could stay with?" Mic asked hopefully and Shinsou shook his head no. Shinsou was smart for his age and he figured out where this conversation was going. "I have to go to an orphanage don't I?" he mumbled and glared at the ground as his bottom lip started to tremble. "I'm sorry listener. They only found two people but they didn't make it. Looks like they couldn't evacuate in time" Mic said hating that he was the one telling the kid this. Shinsou's shoulder trembled as he started to cry "I-it's not your f-fault." He cried and he was already blaming Endeavor in his mind. Shinsou felt himself being pulled into a hug and he clings onto Mic seeking comfort. "I'll take you and help you get situated into the orphanage" Mic said as he rubbed the boys back.
Shinsou felt numb to everything around him and he had a small ringing in his ear. He continued to sit on the back of the ambulance as he let Mic make some calls before he noticed he was being placed in the car. He stared out the window as Muc drove. The drive was short but to Shinsou it was long and unfair. He wished he could see his parents one more time and hug them. Pulling up to the orphanage, Shinsou noticed how big it was and there were kids playing in the yard. Mic parked the car and helped Shinsou out of the car. "They found this in the rumble and I thought you would want them" Mic said, handing Shinsou a picture of him with his parents and his pair of yellow goggles that he made at school. " tanks" Shinsou said quietly as he stared at the picture making his eyes water. Mic walked him inside and a fat lady with red greeted them. "Hi Shinsou I'm Ms. Rena and I'm sure you'll like it here" she said nicely. Once Shinsou was situated " take care Listener" mic said as he hugged Shinsou and ruffled his hair before leaving. Shinsou followed Rena up the old wooden stair and down the hallway "here is your room." Rena said, showing Shinsou his room. The room was small and barely fit the bed, the walls were an ugly green color and the carpet was ripped at some places. Shinsou nods his head and steps inside as he didn't make an effort to talk since he just wanted to grieve alone. "dinner sho-" Shinsou cut Rena off from speaking as he closed the door on her. He sat on his bed heavily and stripped off his school jacket. He saw something green on his wrist and he pulled up his sleeve showing a piece of a clover. He knew it wasn't his soulmate mark because you get that at fourteen and on it's always on your shoulder.
