Shinsou woke up to someone kicking his bed " wake up. We have a visitor today so use makeup to cover your wrist" Sachi said before leaving the room. He was by far the meanest caretaker to Shinsou; the other ones just left him alone if he didn't speak. He got out of bed groggily and threw on a black shirt and some sweatpants. Shinsou got his foundation and started to apply it to his wrist. 'It shouldn't even matter if they see my mark, no one's gonna want me' he thought to himself. He waited in his room until the kids were told to meet in the main room. He walked quietly and stood in the back of the group of kids but with his height he was still noticeable. He kept his head down when he heard the door open and Rena greeted the person. "Are these all the listeners?" Someone said, making Shinsou look up at the sound of his English teacher. "Present mic?" He mumbled confused before noticing that Aizawa was with him. He gulped and glanced at his wrist as he remembered the rumors going around the school. Present mic spotted Shinsou and waved.
"Hi Shinsou. How are you?" He asked as he held Aizawa's hand.
"I'm ok-" Shinsou was cut off by Sachi "we like when he stays quiet so don't go asking him questions. It's safe for all of us here."
"He can talk if he wants. I have a quirk that can erase it if he uses it by accident" Aizawa said. Shinsou glanced at Aizawa and wondered if he remembered him for the villain attack a couple of years ago. Present mic and Aizawa held out their wrist together to show Shinsou. Shinsou gulps and holds his beside theirs
"Sorry I don't h-have one" he said quietly. Present mic frowned since he knew everyone in the orphanage did.
" hm okay. That's a bummer. See you in class on Monday" Present Mic said as he and Aizawa looked at the other kids wrist before leaving.
After the couple had left the kids started to run around and play with one other. Shinsou glanced at Sachi nervously as he went to the stairs Sachi spoke up "You're not having dinner tonight" he said making Shinsou frown and he went up to his room to do homework. Shinsou sat on his bed with a sign and pulled out his home. He wished he didn't have to lie to them but he was too old for a family. He did homework for the rest of the day. Shinsou hunches over as his stomach growls. He debated on using some of his money that he stashed away to get some food. He grabbed his wallet and opened his door as he peaked out. Shinsou quickly made his way down the hall and exited the door without being noticed. He shoved his hands in his pockets as he walked down the street. McDonald's was only a five minute walk from the orphanage. Shinsou looked around nervously as he walked to the counter. He could only afford a chicken sandwich and a small drink.
" Thanks" he mumbled as he grabbed the bag and drink before going to a table in the back. He ate his sandwich quickly and looked up as he heard chatting. Some students from class 1A came in.
"Shinsou, it's nice to see you" Midoriya said as he saw him sitting alone.
" You too but I should head home " Shinsou said, throwing his stuff away and leaving the restaurant in a hurry. It wasn't too late but his curfew was 8 o'clock. He walked up the steps and tried to open the door but found the door was locked. He signed and knew he should have left his window open. Shinsou leans against the door before going to a park near the orphanage and decides to sleep on the playground. He took shelter in the slide so no one could see him. He laid back on the slide and tried to get comfortable as he looked up at the stars. He smiled as he looked at the constellations, he remembered his mom telling him the names of them. Shinsou planned to wake up early to get back into the orphanage if he slept at all. He needed to get his school clothes and look somewhat presentable. His eyes droop a little as the night when on as he listens to the crickets. His eyes finally closed around 4 in the morning.
