Chapter 11

Shinsou stared at the wall in front of him as he waited for Aizawa and Yamada to come home. He was a little nervous about their reaction to Cheeto. He didn't realize he zoned out until he heard the front door open and a small squeal.

" Aw sho look he brought home his first stray" Hizashi said as he took off his boots and Aizawa put a bag of food on the counter.

"It's not that big of a deal besides if he didn't take it home, I would have" Aizawa said as he kicked off his shoes and started to take the food out of the bag.

" y-you not mad" he said softly as he got up from the couch.

" No, it's fine. Like shouta said, he probably would have brought him home. Let's eat." Hazashi said as he took the food off the counter and placed it on the table. "So what's their name?" he asked as he sat down. Shinsou walked over to join them.

"Cheeto" Shinsou said softly before saying thank you as he opened his take out.

"It fits him, and the other cats seem to like him, which is good." Aizawa said as he joined them at the table. As they ate Hizashi tried to bring Shinsou into the small talk but he spoke little. He wasn't used to family dinners and being able to speak freely. Once they were done, Hizashi got up.

"How about a movie night before shouta had to go out on patrol" he suggested as he started to put the leftovers away and Aizawa was already going to the couch to cuddle with the cats.

"I'll um just go to the guest room so you both can spend time together" Shinsou said as he made his way to the hallway and Aizawa leaned his head on the back of the couch.

"You can join us if you want and it's your room not the guest room" Aizawa said as Obi curled up on his lap.

"Right, sorry. Are you sure you want me to join" he mumbled as Hizashi walked by and ruffled his hair, making him tense for a minute at the gentle gesture. "Yes but only if you want to," he said as he sat beside Aizawa. Shinsou thought for a minute before joining them, he sat on the other end of the couch with Cheeto in his lap.

" Anything you want to watch?" Hizashi asked as he signed into Netflix and Shinsou shook his head. " Anything is fine," he replied as he petted Cheeto and Hizashi put on a pre-quirk hero movie, Ironman. Shinsou didn't mean to fall asleep on the couch, he woke up a little as he felt himself being moved. He mumbled and moved closer to the warmth, if he was more awake he would freak out that Hizashi carried him to his room like a child and tucked into bed.

Shinsou woke up around 6 am like he normally would. He was surprised he slept all night. He tried not to think about how he got in bed and he went to the bathroom to get ready. He made sure to step quietly and made sure to use the shower as quickly as possible. He made sure to be quiet once he was done showering, he dried his hair with a towel and got dressed in his school uniform. He went into the kitchen and saw a note beside a plate of pancakes and bacon on the counter.

Hi, we had a UA staff meeting early and didn't want to wake you. Have a good morning and see you at school.

Shinsou put the note in the trash and ate breakfast before walking to school. He figured he could avoid the other students if he got there early. He walked through the gates and went to go to his locker, he noticed someone was standing by it. He almost walked away when he saw it was Monoma.

" I knew you would be here early to try to avoid me. I know we don't know each other much but if we share a mark. Can't you give it a try? How about a trial date or not even a date. Just hanging out to get to know each other." Monoma said as he pushed himself off the locker.

"You talk a lot" he mumbled as he thought about it. Shinsou didn't realize how much he craved attention and recognition from others. "Fine but not a date, just handing out" he said as he got his books he needed from his locker.

"Nice here's my number. So we can plan" Monoma said as he handed Shinsou a piece of paper with his number on it. "See you around." He said as he left Shinsou alone. Shinsou blushed slightly as he put momonas number in his phone and he went to class. He still had sometime before school started.

'Hi this is Shinso. Now you know my number too' he sent and turned his phone off before he got a reply. He read ahead on his school work before class started. Class went on like normal, as Shinsou tried not to think about Monoma. Once school was over he went to the front gate and he decided to look at his phone as he waited for Aizawa.

'Hi. Would you want to go to the park this weekend?'- Monoma texted him.

'Sure. I'm free, we can meet by the train station by the school on Saturday'- Shinsou sent back as Hizashi appeared by his side, making him jump a little.

"Hi it's just us on the walk home. Shouta got called into a mission. I'll walk you home before I have to go to the station. Sorry we can't have dinner together" Hizashi explained as Shinsou fell into step with him as they walked to the apartment.

" It's okay. I can make my own food. Have fun at your show" Shinsou said as they went into the apartment. Hizashi made sure Shinso was fine before he left. He felt awkward eating by himself, because he felt like he shouldn't be allowed to have their food without them here. He ended up making himself a cup of Ramen and sat on the couch with the cats. After cleaning up after himself, he decided to go to his room and do homework as he listened to Present amics radio show. 'He's not that different from his hero persona. He's just a little quieter at home' he thought as he did his homework on his bed
