I was swimming around the outside of my pod while trying to break open a clam I found it in the shallow part of the water. I groaned in frustration I threw the clam into the sand "why can't I get it open!! Ugh! My weak nerd arms" I said while falling onto my back looking up at the sky. The fin on my back got dug into the sand.

"I'm so hungry" I groaned complaining about the dumb clam I was trying to break open. Just before I was about to get up to try and find something else to eat I saw "a whale?" I said aloud turning my head to right a bit in confusion. I sat up and "stood up" as I looked at the whale in the sky.

"Why is a whale this close to shore?" My pod (that was originally someone else's but was then abandoned) was at the bottom of a large mountain of rock, sand and coral. It was also closer to land which was in the sky.

I swam up to the sky and followed the whale from bellow. They weren't saying much so I decided to start a conversation "hey uh Mr. Whale? Why are you so close to the land?" I asked.

No response.

'Maybe he couldn't hear me?' I questioned my self as I continued to follow after the whale. I mean his head was above the water. I heard some fish folk (Mainly whales) can have there heads above water.

"Uh excuse me? Can you hear me? Sir..?" I Chirped again. Still. No response. I sighed and looked back at the ocean floor while I continued to follow along.

After awhile of swimming and trying start up a conversation the whale finally stopped. "Huh?" I said quietly. Suddenly something splashed into the water and starting speeding down to the ocean floor which startled me and made me screech out in fear.

But as I was turned around I had watched it go to the ocean floor as the sand splashed when it came in contact. I was curious and decided to follow it. I swam beside it and titled my head a bit in confusion 'what is this thing?' 'Maybe the whale dropped it?' And with that I tried to pick it up but it was no uses. I couldn't open a clam shell how could I pick up this thing?

I sighed and swam back up to the whale "hey Mr. Whale? I think you dropped something-" SWOOSH Something had darted from behind me I screamed being scared of what it was but before I could look to see what it was more came down. I quickly moved out of the way of all of them and the more I did it the more I could make out a picture of what the things looked like.

It's was long and had sharp tip which is probably why they where moving so fast. Just by seeing the blade I got even more worried 'what's going on!?' I had to think quickly. So... I swam under the whale for protection I took quick and sharp breaths tired and still scared.

After I had caught my breath I swam t the other side of the whale and looked up at the sky. I was pretty close to it. I always dreamt of going over the sky. Out of the water. If the whales can do it, why can't I? And if I wanna know what's going on u need to see for myself 'ok I'll just put my hand above and see how it is, yeah that'll be fine' I told myself.

So a swam a little closer.. Look straight up.. Reached my hand out.. And touched the line between ocean. And sky. I slowly pressed my hand through. My nails, then my finger tips. It wasn't wet, it was dry? There was nothing surrounding my hand it was weird. I pushed more of my hand out. The middle of my fingers. Right were the fins on my hand started. I pushed my hand out more until it reached to the middle of my lower arm. I waved my arm around to feel my surroundings but there was nothing.
