Lance woke up with a gasp, he was in his room, his curtain was opened and it was a bright sunny day
"You like it?" A voice said from the entrance
Lance flinched and turned around only to see the same person he saw before
Suddenly memories flashed into his mind and he got up quickly
"I need to use the dragon amber" Lance pleaded
"woah, hold your horses bucko, you can't just use the amber" The person spoke
"What do you mean?"
"The amber is the life force of not this Multiverse but an infinite amount of others, you can't just use it... Well you can but I won't let you" the person replied
"What!? Wait who even are you!?" Lance yelled in confusion
"Oh, where are my manners, call me True fire" True fire said putting his hand out
"That's you're name?"
"Well it's what he calls me?"
"He? Who's he?"
True fire shook his head and grabbed Lance
"forgot about him Lance let's talk about you"
"um ok-"
"Lance, you know of the multiverse yes?"
"Uh kind of-"
"Good, now what if I told you none of it matters?"
Lance was taken back by that comment and was confused
"n-none of it matters?"
"That's right, their are an infinite amount of universes just in this multiverse"
Lance perked up and turned to True fire
"This multiverse?"
True fire sat down on the bed next to him
"Yep, there a other mutiverses all with their own infinite universe, which means this technically dosen't matter"
Lance shook his head and stood up quickly
"No, are you saying all those lives don't matter!?" Lance yelled in disbelief
True fire sighed leaning on his knees
"Look....Lance I've traveled to many multiverses..and may have destroyed some of them but I know as much as you that the lives don't mean much"
Lance glared at him
"What? You think I don't care about their lives!?" Lance yelled as his hand ignited
"Oh no you do, you care so much for the people you love" True Fire retorted
"Then what, my friends are waiting for me to come back fully charged to stop the pale prince!!"
"Do you even know why the prince is doing all of this?"
Lance got even angrier and his flames brightned but then dimmed
"No, but I know my brother would hav-"
"Nope, you see that's the problem" True fire said covering Lance's mouth
"You do what you think you're brother wants"
Lance pulled back shaking with fury
"No, I know what Aldawine-"
"Ah but you don't" True fire said leaning closer to Lance
