Maddox POV
When we get back to Washington DC the city of Bishorb, it is already dawn and driving back home now will be an exercise so I decide to ask Bishorb to lend me his jet of which he agrees. My pack is on the shore side near Oregon.
I really do not prefer flying because of how easy it would be for the enemy to shoot me off the face of the earth because believe me, the enemy is real. We might be living peacefully with the humans for now but I am certain their government wouldn't miss an opportunity to get rid of us. They tolerate us because they are not presented with other options right now. But today I will fly home.
I call Benny meet to me at the airport and wait for him. Bishorb waits with me patiently while sipping whiskey.
"so all this chaos is caused by such a small woman?" he says smilling and I can't help but smile as well
"she is interesting as you said" I say
"no doubt" he says, "so what about her friend?" he asks. I completely forgot about her friend and I really have no idea what to do with her so I give Bishorb this responsibility.
"I don't know Bishorb, can you take care of her" I ask. Bishorb eyes the sleeping girl next to him
"okay" he agrees. At this point I'm occupied with my mate to ask how he plans to take care of her.
"Bishorb thank you man, you have been of great help to me today I will not forget it" I say sincerely
"you better, because I will call you" he says, I obviously don't doubt that. I nod in agreement.
It's not long until Benjamin arrives and Bishorb leaves with the sleeping girl. We take off going home. Ben is shocked to find me caddling a girl.
He eyes me wearily. I say nothing but he keeps on starring, averting his eyes between me and the girl. I continue to say nothing. I don't know how to explain this.
"Maddox" he calls out loud the minute he figures out who she is to me. From the look he gave me I knew he knew
"this is not easy Benny" I say in my defense. He is quite for a while.
"what about my sister?" he asks hurt
"my wife" Is all I say
"yes, your wife, our Luna" he digs for answers I don't have.
"Benjamin I don't have the answers you're looking for right now. I would appreciate a bit of understanding as I try to figure a way forward" I say firmly taking my eyes off my mate to give him my attention. He remains quiet.
"I had planned to reject her but things got complicated and now here she is, make room for her until I figure things out" I command him leaving him with no other option. He bows his head in submition and keeps quiet until we get home. We already had a car waiting for us from our lending zone and it's a short drive to the pack house.
The minute we arrive we find people waiting outside for us already. Benjamin tries to take the girl from me to protect his sister I assume but my refusal came quicker than I had time to reason. He got out first and his mate Cristille was quick to jump him and he caught her and hugged her.
I cuddled my mate for another minute dragging going out the car. I really didn't have the energy or the heart to hurt Sofia but there's no other way. Benjamin had everyone leave while I remained in the car, he tried with his sister as well but failed. She was left standing alone outside, mind you its cold and dark outside but she waited until I came out.
The hurt in her eyes when she saw the girl in my arms was unmissable. She stared at me for an answer.
"Sofiaa..." I tried but didn't know how to explain this, I had already promised her that I was going to reject my mate so how do I begin explaining who this is, in my arms?
She figured it out from my mumbling I guess because she started shaking her head, tears sprung out her eyes. The goddess must really hate me.
"Sofia can I..." I was about to say put her to bed and talk to you after when the small unconscious girl twitched in my arms like she's warning me in her unconscious state. I stopped and looked at the girl they claimed will be waking up tomorrow.
Sofia lost her patience and left running to God knows where.
I mindlink her brother to go after her and continued inside the house to the guest room where I lay the small girl who's my mate to sleep. She is really small I can not get over the fact.
I place her down and take a minute to look at her, she is such an angel in her sleep and I dread to see her awake. My wolf wants to shower her with kisses and affection but I restrain myself and move away from her.
"what am I gonna do with you?" I ask her sleeping form not really expecting an answer but she turns in her sleep surprising me. I'm starting to think she has some super powers.
I decide that I shouldn't leave her alone for now, as she seem to be waking up. I sat down in a chair near the bed. I was still weak and very tired after the day's events, I fell asleep.
Benjamin woke me up in the middle of the night to talk to his crying sister. I understood the need and checked on the girl but she was sleeping soundly. I rose from my seat with Benny leading the way but as I was about to close the door on my way out she rose up screaming awake.
Both Benjamin and I went back to the room quickly.
"whoa, calm down you're safe here" I said but she took a second to look at me before screaming for help.
People started mindlinking what's happening?, who's that? I asked Benjamin to deal with them as I deal with Amandla here, I like how her name sounds. Everything about her is a distraction to me. Benny left.
I walked closer to her and she came forward and started attacking me with her fists. Punching me and I start dodging her punches but she continues to punch and let me tell you her punches are not light. Especially for such a small human she surprised me.
I grab her arms and push her back to the bed and fall on top of her. She blinks in surprise.
"now listen" I say aloud but before I could continue she speaks
"you kidnapped me" it's like she only realizes who I am now
"can you stop screaming and punching me so I can explain" I say
"explain that you had me kidnapped?, I think I am good. GET OFF OF ME" she screams, she is impossible.
"hey, hey" I shout at her but she screams for help again. I don't know what to do.
"stop it, stop it" I say and use 1 hand to close her mouth. Okay for now I've managed to keep her quiet
"now listen, I'm going to give you 2 options" I say "you either choose to comply or I will chain you to the bed and gag you so can't speak" I would hate to do it but she gives me no other option.
She takes a minute to think about what I just said and then she nods in agreement. Thank God.
