Chapter 8

Maddox POV

Well I took Marcelo's offer and used his office to do some work that's been piling up since I wasn't here and fell asleep doing it.

I woke up when he returned from work at noon. I was feeling much better. I had blocked everyone out so I wasn't disturbed. Marcelo ordered food. I have not had food in days and completely forgot about food.

We were eating nicely in silence and I decided to tell him what's going on.

"so I met my mate" I say and he looks at me waiting for me to continue

"I tried to reject her like I had planned to but I'm not sure what happened" I say and take a break to calm down, "I don't know whether Bishorb wanting her got the best of me or she got to me with all the attitude she gave me" I finish and he grins at my dismay.

"you sure love a challenge" he says smiling, I smile as well.

"but it's more then just that Marcel, there's something about her man" I say and he stops loughing giving this the deserved attention, "it's like she can communicate with my wolf. Like she knew my wolf's name before I even talked to her" I say still not sure if I'm seeing things clearly

Marcelo takes time to process everything I just said and we continue to eat in silence

"this is gonna be a bumby road" he states facts I'm well aware of

"yeah" I agree and drink juice

"one step at a time" he says. That's his everyday advice and honestly it works. Now I need to give my wife some deserved attention I will deal with my mate after

"I will see you tomorrow gamma" I say standing up to leave

"spar with me in the morning" he says surely thinking he can take advantage of me again, he is dead wrong.

"okay" I agree and leave

I find the pack house quieter then normal. I go to grab a water bottle in the kitchen and find one pack member, Cindy having noodles.

"what happened to food?" I ask her, noodles are not really food

"they didn't make enough food" she says curtly

"ohhho..., where is everyone it's so quiet here" I say gulping water

"they are sleeping, the night's event tired everyone" she says avoiding eye contact. Obviously they blame me for bringing this girl. But their sleep is the least of my problem at this point.

My wolf stairs picking up the closeness of his mate but I'm having non of it today. I make my way to my bedroom and find my wife asleep, I get in bed and cuddle her to me and she melts to me. I start nice by touching soothingly from her tits and she responds to my touch. I kiss her from the back of her neck moving to the side and she gives me more access.

My wolf urges me to stop but I block him out. I continue my hands making their way between Sofia's legs and she moans for me. I devour my wife until we've both satisfied and fall into a much needed sleep.

I woke up feeling fresh. I appreciate the scarcity of my moon mate I must say. My wolf is feeling me up with regret but I'm having non of it.

I gave Marcelo a good beating in our exercise this morning and came back for breakfast. I find Benny already seated at the table having a good time with everyone with his sister loughing along with him like always. My heart tuggs at the thought of my mate alone in that room. My wolf begs me to see her but I refuse.

She has caused me too much stress that I don't have the heart to see her. Rianna is also at breakfast, my beautiful daughter. This just lights up my mood, I missed her. I go pick her up and shower her with kisses

"daddy missed you little 1" I say giving her kisses and her giggling

"I miss daddy this much" she says making a gesture with her small hands

"so small you're lying, tell the truth" I say tickling her for saying she missed a little. She's a loughing mess until she agrees to have missed me big time. I give her a kiss and sit down at the heard of the table with her on my lap

"daddy" she calls

"yes, my dear 1" I respond

"who was that crying at night" she didn't have to be specific for me to understand who she was talking about.

Everyone keeps quiet waiting for the answer as well, no doubt.

"she is our guest little 1" i say.

"why was she crying?" she is full of questions my daughter takes after my small mate no lie

"she was sick and missing home baby but she's all better now don't worry" I say and she nods in understanding

Her mother takes her to her play room and leaves her there. We all enjoy our food and pretend like the small woman in the guest room doesn't exist.

When we were done, everyone was just chatting and having a good lough. Rianna came back crying. Immediately I hurry to her

"what's wrong little 1?, who hurt my little girl" I say picking her up with her mom close to me

"what's wrong baby?" she asks as well

"she won't wake up daddy" she says still crying

"who won't wake up dear 1, who is that?" I ask trying to comfort her

"I wanted to give her milk so she feels better but she won't wake up" she says, that's when it dawns on me that she is talking about my mate.

I panic and hand Rianna to her mother and rush to the guest room with Benny and others following me. As soon as I walked in the room I find my small mate laying lifeless with her heard hanging down the bed. I panicked.

"what have I done?, Ohoo goddess what have I done?" I rush to her and find that she's still warm but I can't feel a pulse. I cuddle her to me.

"Amandla please don't die on me, you can't do me like this" I beg her unconscious form

I place her back down and try CPR on her. "call for help" I shout to no 1 in particular. I tried everything.

They must have already linked the Dr because in no time he was here. He moved me and crouched to feel if she still has a pulse.

"she has a very weak pulse but she is not breathing, she needs the hospital now" he said performing CPR on her and putting her on oxygen

"how much pills did she take and which 1s?" he asks. She took pills?, is she trying to kill herself?

She would rather be dead then be with me?, does she hate me this much?. I have all of these questions I can't seem to answer.

One of the omega's opened the bed side table and came back carrying 2 empty bottles of tablets. I stopped breathing right there "she took all those?" I whispered

"let's take her to the clinic quickly" Brandon the Dr says understanding the urgency of the situation.

"alpha breathe" Benny says and I tried. My regret came back in full force. She can die.

How could I be so careless???
