Now Vivaan could not understand why he was so frustrated and agitated about what happened with Sanvika. He always had a weird equation with his 'Vicky'. He always knew that in the end, only she will be his wife. Also, she was his best friend. And the person with who he had his first kiss with. She was just Vicky.
But that did not mean he had no real feelings for the girls he dated. He was very sincere about them. At the time of Jaime, he even thought that was love.
So he sat in his hotel room going over what happened. He spent one sleepless night unable to decide why he felt the way he felt. Usually, Vivaan is always, almost always a happy person. But he was not feeling happy or okay about this.
The next afternoon, Sanvika came outside to see Vivaan with Shardul, Suchil and Aaron. They looked at each other. With a plain smartass bitter look.
"Yeah, the flight is tonight." Sanvika heard Vivaan say to Aaron.
"We all will miss you, mate," Aaron said. "Why do you have to go so early?"
"Haha.... Somebody wants me gone."
Shardul, looked at Sanvika. She had her hands crossed and she was looking away from them. Then she pretended to get busy with the customers when there was only one couple at a table.
Vivaan bid his goodbyes to all the friends he had made in a short time of a week. People at the restaurants, the kids.
He knocked on the door of Shardul. "Mr Flower?"
Shardul who was writing something got up on seeing Vivaan. "Can I come in?" He carried Shardul's guitar in his hands.
"Of course..."
Vivaan walked in. "I wanted to return the guitar to you. And just wanted to say a proper goodbye. It was nice meeting you, Mr Flower."
"Yeah, me too. It was nice meeting you. When would we meet again? Come down here someday when you have time"
"Don't you know that I am being exiled? I am not allowed to come back."
"I am sure she does not mean it."
"Oh, she sure does. I know Vicky better than you..." Vivaan stopped seeing Shardul's expression. "Hm... So since I won't come back anymore. You please take care of her."
"Excuse me?"
"Just... generally, take care of her."
"We all are. San is like our family."
"Yeah. I know... But I mean in a... nevermind. Thanks for the guitar and... I guess this s goodbye then."
Vivaan turned to walk out.
At about 6 pm Vivaan was walking away from the restaurant. Sanvika stood at the door watched him go. There was something sharp pressing to her chest. She tried to act okay. She got herself busy with the customers. Luckily there were many that night.
About at 8 pm, Vivaan came back with his suitcase. Sanvika stopped as she was serving a table. "What?" She asked him.
"Dinner." He said. "I have to eat before I go to the airport."
He settled the suitcase aside and walked in like he owns the place. "Tariq Bhai..." I greeted the guy with a usual friendly smile and grabbed his hand in a male handshake. Vivaan could detect Sanvika's sharp eyes on his back.
Actually, he could have just taken off. He meant to go... But he knew something. Something that was pulling him back to Sanvika. Actually, more like..., he wanted something. Something that not happening, and he was denied of. That kiss...
