"Hello?" Marinette asked and laid the fabrics down and went to open the trapdoor.

"Hi princess."

"Oh Chat, what are you doing here?"

He went down the steps into her room and she walked over to her fabrics and sewing machine, cleaning up her mess.

"Well I haven't seen you since our last encounter, Hawkmoth must be pretty busy."

There was an awkward pause as she continued to clean while he stood there.

"...and I'm sorry for what happened. The kiss and.. everything else."

She took a deep breath and responded. "It's okay, really. I'm sorry for what I said, I guess it was kinda harsh."

He smiled back. "Well, you never know, maybe one day I will be more than a friend. What are you making by the way?"

"It's a dress. I have a date this weekend with a boy."

His heart sank a little knowing she doesn't like Chat. He didn't want to win her over being Adrien though. Adrien was not his true self.

"A date? Pfft. I bet you don't even like him. I mean, how could you? I'm standing in front of you and I happen to be better than every boy in Paris." Chat said as he jokingly flexed his muscles.

"Whatever Kitty, I've actually liked him for years. He's so nice and gentle. For a while I couldn't get a sentence out without stuttering!" She laughed.

"You've liked him? For years?" He asked.

"Umm yea? Why are you looking all wide-eyed at me? Looking back now it's so embarrassing remembering how obsessed I was over him."

He froze for a minute, realizing how stupid he was for not noticing the obvious crush Marinette had on him. He crossed his arms in retaliation.

"I could treat you better than him, Marinette."

"Chat, I'm not interested. You're cringey and..well..not a good kisser. I need to get back to work so I can be ready for this weekend. See you later." She said, waving at him to exit.

She immediately regretted saying he was a bad kisser. He wasn't, and every moment he was in her room had her becoming more and more anxious to kiss him again. His voice had her feeling like she was under a love spell, and she couldn't break it even if she tried. She felt a need to kiss him again, but also knew how it could affect the pairs relationship. Besides, she truly did want to try with Adrien one last time.

Her words made him feel differently. Telling him he was a bad kisser hurt his feelings and he left instantly.

She watched him go, almost transforming into Ladybug to run and apologize. But that apology would end up in a kiss, so she stayed put, working on her dress.

Luckily for Chat, he knew when her date with Adrien was. And he had a plan.

As the week passed, Marinette put together her dress and got ready for the date. She looked in the mirror, admiring her work. The pink silk fell perfectly on her skin and she fixed her hair in a bun to expose the strapless back.

Ugh. She thought. I can't do this! Adrien will hate this dress.

Her phone rang and she picked it up.

"Marinette! Are you ready? Me and Nino will be there soon."

"I don't know if I want to go anymore, Alya. I don't like my dress. Can I call you back? Let me find something else to wear."

"Okay fine, just meet us there at 7:30."

She hung up the phone and tossed it onto her bed, glancing at herself in the mirror again, almost like she was trying to convince herself she looked okay in it.

"I think you look beautiful, Princess."

"AHH! Chat what are you doing here?? How did you get through?"

"Cataclysm." He shrugged, before walking over.

"No time for games Chat, I need to be somewhere."

"Oh I know, some hot date tonight. But wouldn't you rather be with me, here, just the two of us?"

She looked at him and shook her head as she fixed her necklace on. He saw her struggling and went over to help.

"That's a pretty necklace, Mari."

She grinned as she watched him put it on her in the mirror.

"I hope he likes it as much as you."

"He will." Chat said. He clasped the necklace on, but he couldn't help but notice her naked back in the stunning silk dress. Without thinking, he kissed her neck, wanting to taste every inch of her porcelain skin.

He pulled away before she could say anything, and turned her around so that she was facing him.

"Are you sure you want to go?" He asked with a smirk.
