"You're doing it wrong." Roman said, putting his knitting project down and reaching for Virgil's knitting needles.

"Uh huh, but I don't understand any of this." Virgil grumbled, letting Roman take them from his hands and fix his mistakes. Twenty minutes ago it had seemed like a fun idea to let Roman teach him how to knit, especially as Roman had been so happy to do so, but Virgil wasn't getting how it worked.

"This is way too complicated." He complained, trying to see what it was Roman was doing, but he had been knitting as a hobby since years and years back from what Virgil could understand, and he was very efficient.

"Not really, you just need some patience." Roman said, handing him back the knitting needles carefully.

"Patience? Then how did you learn to do this, you're not patient." Virgil wondered, snorting as Roman made a face of offense.

"How dare you bully me. I'm not forgiving you until you kiss me." He said and pouted. Virgil was tempted to tell him to wait five minutes to see how patient he really was, but it was even more tempting to kiss his boyfriend, so that's what he did.

Roman smiled into the kiss and wrapped an arm around Virgil, and what was supposed to be a quick peck turned into a slow and lingering kiss that was only interrupted by the noise of Virgil's phone ringing out in another room.

They parted and Virgil huffed. It was definitely some salesperson, and he wasn't going to bother picking it up. If it was important they would call again.

"Virgil, your phone is ringing." Logan said, poking his head out from the kitchen where he had gone to prepare the snacks they needed to watch a movie. It was Saturday, and they were having a date, which they were starting off with lazily watching movies. They had the whole day together, and maybe tomorrow too.

"Ugh, can you answer, pretty please? It's just gonna be a salesman." Virgil mumbled, because the only people that would ever call him were Logan and Roman, and even they rarely called him because anyone that knew him was aware that he didn't like talking on the phone.

"Alright." Logan disappeared into the kitchen again and a second later the ringing stopped.

"Virgil Storm's phone, Logan speaking." He heard him say, and he turned his attention back to Roman, leaning in to press another kiss to his lips before looking back at his attempt at knitting.

"Okay, show me again, since I wasn't doing it right." He said and Roman put his hands over Virgil's and guided him for a moment. It looked so easy when Roman did it, and Virgil wasn't sure he knew what he was doing wrong.

"This is witchcraft." He said, making another attempt at knitting while Roman watched.

"Virgil?" Logan was standing in the doorway to the living room, then hurried up to him. Virgil let Roman take the knitting needles again, feeling worry simmer in his gut. He didn't know what Logan's tone of voice meant, but he had a bad feeling.

"Virgil. I think you might want to take this." Logan said with a very strange expression, extending him the phone. Virgil took it, raising a brow in a silent question, but Logan shook his head, apparently not wanting to or not knowing how to respond. Maybe it was urgent, but Virgil couldn't think what it might be about. Was his landlord calling to evict him? Had someone robbed the bank and stolen all his savings? Yeah, Virgil had no clue what this was about.
