Virgil's alarm buzzed, immediately waking him up and he dug for his phone under his pillow, turning it off as quickly as he could before sitting up.
His alarm had not had any effect on Roman, who was fast asleep on the other side of Logan, lightly snoring into his pillow. Logan, however, shifted and squinted at him.
"Shh, sorry, old midnight alarm from the weekend. You go back to sleep, I just gotta pee." He said, which Logan bought with no issues, pulling the covers up and rolling over to cuddle up to Roman.
He carefully got out of bed, looking back at his two adorable sleeping boyfriends and really wishing that crawling back into bed and cuddling with them was an option that he could choose. He had other plans, though, and left them to get some more sleep.
It wasn't midnight, far from it. Actually, it was six in the morning and Logan's alarm was going to ring in only half an hour. Thirty more minutes of cuddling and sleeping sounded fantastic, but despite today being a Monday it was a rather special day.
He tiptoed downstairs, entering the kitchen and opening the cupboard to find the waffle mix, and the fridge for the fresh berries and other ingredients. He plugged in the waffle maker, then mixed the waffle batter together while waiting for it to become warm.
He checked the pockets of his pajamas, thankful to find that he had put his phone there, scrolling through his playlists to find some fitting music as he made breakfast. MCR was always a good choice and he hummed along to the music as he poured batter into the waffle maker.
Virgil found a knife and a cutting board, busying himself cutting up strawberries and bananas as he waited for the two waffles to finish. He also poured a package of fresh blueberries into a small bowl and rummaged through the fridge for the Nutella. Usually such sugary foods were reserved for weekends but, well, anniversaries had to count, right?
Once the light on the waffle maker turned green he quickly got a plate from another cupboard to put them on and poured some more batter into the waffle maker. Then he put the banana and the strawberries in their own bowls and set them on the table before, as quietly as possible, rummaging through the cupboards for four plates and four glasses.
He set the table, then turned back to the waffle maker to make sure the waffles didn't burn. Soon enough he had a big plate of waffles ready and he wrapped it in tin foil to preserve the heat as he tiptoed back upstairs and into his son's room.
Patton was actually already awake, standing up in his crib and Virgil smiled and lifted him up in his arms.
"Good morning, Pat." He said, kissing the top of his head and sitting down with him in his lap by his dresser. He pulled some drawers open, looking through his clothes.
"Which one?" He said, holding up two shirts. Patton reached out for the pink one, which Virgil took as him wanting that one. Logan had sent him some kind of article about the importance of letting toddlers make choices, even if they did not understand that they were making choices, so, well, why not?
"Alright, which pants?" He wondered, holding up two more choices and waiting until Patton reached for one of them. He grabbed a pair of socks and then carried Patton into the bathroom to change his diaper.
Then he dressed him in the pink shirt and the baby blue overalls that had an embroidered pink bunny on them, and then carried him downstairs. Virgil put him down in his high chair, putting his bib on and then leaving another kiss on his head before he opened the freezer to find the package of frozen mango.
