3rd POV
Mr. Hīragi Mikko came home and had his usual stern look on as he was making his way to his office to talk to Shirota. As he entered he saw Shirota standing there near his desk with a blank look but with eyes that can kill in a single glare. Mr. Hīragi Mikko knew those eyes well as he had the same ones.
Shirota POV
I saw my father make his way into the room and I just silently stared at him. He glared back at me with fearsome eyes but I was used to it. He sat down at his desk and just stared.
He finally opened his mouth, "Welcome home. You can have a seat." I complied with his request as I saw no reason to turn him down. Then I said, "Why did you call me?"
"Because I have something to tell and introduce someone to you" he replied.
This cold man. "No, Dad, why did you call me?" I emphasized the you.
He could have called or written a letter but he went out of his way to ask for me directly, it seemed odd.
"That's odd, you calling me Dad. I don't think you've ever considered me as a father," he said. "That is true at least we see something eye to eye." He probably never saw me as a son either so I couldn't care less. "Why didn't you call or send a letter to tell me." I asked inquisitively.
"Because I wanted to tell you directly as it only involves you and only you." I only nodded my head to him.
"Shirota, I want to know why you want to enroll at Seirin High." He said.
"Do I need a reason?" I asked.
"Is it because Kagetora's daughter is there? Or is it Higuchi Kaede?" He's right about the first, but Kaede has nothing to do with it.
"Kaede had nothing to do with me transferring to Seirin." I said, with a monotone.
"I see. You'll need to go there tomorrow for the transfer exam. Also, somebody will arrive, though I don't know when she'll arrive. Her parents are my business partners." She? What are you planning, father?
"Alright, I will assist her." I got up from my seat as there was nothing else to say to him. "Hīragi Shirota" he called out, my full name suddenly. I turned back and saw him glaring and said, "Don't cause me trouble." I just exited the room without caring about what he said.
After our talk, I walked out of the house and rode my bike to Kaede's workplace. I arrived in front of the computer shop, and I took out my phone to message her.
[Smartguy\-_-/: I'm here at your workplace. Are u done?]
[Maple>//<: I'm almost done wait for a minute or so ^0^]
[Smartguy\-_-/: K. Your lucky I'm a patient guy]
[Maple>//<: I knew it!~]
----------
Shirota chuckled at her text, she is really going to make him wait. After a few minutes, the door of the computer shop opened and revealed Kaede, who was grinning at him with a flushed red face. She noticed him standing beside his bike, arms stretched for a hug. She ran and jumped at him, arms around his neck, and said, "Welcome back, Shiro." He holds her waist to balance the both of them. "Yeah, I'm back." He let go of her and looked at the sunset as silence enveloped them. "So, where are you going to school?" Kaede asked, breaking the comfortable silence. "Seirin High and sorry for not informing." He answered stiffly, scared she'd be mad at him.
She laughed a little and casually said, "What are you scared of? Me, being mad at you? It's fine, I'm immune to it already." Though deep in her heart, she's not. He looked at her, noticing the hidden sadness in her eyes and thought, 'I want to tell her not to lie, but she'll probably just deny it' and instead said, "I'm going to visit Ryoma tomorrow at his school and surprise him after my entrance exam."
