Prologue

PERIDOT LABORATORY
6000 YEARS AGO...

What would you say Yellow Diamond's job is, well if you know the series you'd know that she's in charge of Homeworld's military she does her best to colonise a planet by any means necessary, even by force.

One thing that she has her Peridots do is attempt to create an unstoppable force to help them colonise planets, this monster would be able to take an energy canon to the head and come out completely fine, it could be chopped in half and reattach the missing limbs.

This monster would take the orders of the first person it sees which was going to be Yellow Diamond but something happened on the planet where the creature was being created where the Peridots just had to abandon the project, the report came back through to Yellow Diamond that the creature was blinded by black goop covering their face so it attacked every Peridot in the facility without stopping and they had to leave the planet entirely.

Yellow was furious because that was also one of the planets where she kept old weapons like giant injectors and rejuvenator scythes, but the Peridot Commander assured her that the creature didn't have the intelligence needed to operate such weaponry so they had nothing to worry about.

She tried to see if she could get her quartz troops to take care of it for a while but all missions to eliminate the threat have resulted in cracked or shattered gems, this at the very least showed Yellow that her invincible creature was effective but the problem was that it was effective against gems!

Since then the planet seemed to become covered in a tar like substance making the entire planet seem like a black ocean with the abandoned armoury being the only structure on the planet, Yellow Diamond determined that it's best to abandon the planet entirely and let the creature roam and hopefully die after a while.

PINK DIAMOND'S GARDEN

Pink Diamond and Spinel were in the garden going though their daily play date when Pink Diamond had to go to tend to her colony, Spinel followed Pink trying to get her to stay just a bit longer or finally take Spinel with her to see the earth that Pink loves so much but Pink decided to do something else.

Pink: Hey Spinel, how about we play a game? All you have to do is stay still and wait for me to return, and when I come back, if your still in the same spot you'll win a special prize!

Spinel: *Gasp* A prize?! Oh I love prizes, this'll be so much fun!!

Pink: As soon as I leave on the warp pad the game will start ok?

Spinel: Ok!

Pink Diamond leaves on the warp pad and Spinel starts her unknowingly long game of 'sit and wait', she may not know it now but Pink Diamond is never coming back to get her, she was now left on an abandoned planet.

Spinel stands in the middle of the garden staring towards the pedestal where the warp pad stays barren, Spinel as a way to keep herself occupied begins counting the seconds as they go by until Pink Diamond returns.

Days go by, they turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, months... turn into years, years... to decades, Spinel has now counted to numbers that are unknown to humans and that number continues to go up.

When this game stated Spinel was standing on the well kept concrete ground with a flowing fountain behind her and pink pillars standing tall, now she was standing on an overgrown ground with branches and leaves growing around her legs binding her to the ground, the fountain has stopped working, and the pillars are now cracked and some have fallen over and broken apart.
