What the hell? What the actual hell? How on earth is Todd Myers in fucking Stockholm right now. It's okay Ainsley, take a breath and-
"So how have you been?" God dammit Todd can I just take a minute to breathe!
"Fine," I respond, "you?"
"I've been good." He chuckles.
"What?"
"Nothing. You look great."
"I am great."
I haven't spoken to that guy since I left him for good on that mountain. He isn't suppose to reappear in my life. He's supposed to be gone. Non-existent. A mere memory at most. Why is he in Sweden. My phone buzzes and I realize the time. I'm late for my meeting with one of the senior players. We're suppose to do a one-on-one session together at the stadium.
"I-I have to go, it was nice seeing you." I barely make out as I bolt to the door.
"You too Ainse."
Ugh, Ainse. He can't call me that. Who gave him those privileges?
I book it out the door and run back to my apartment. I grab my gear and bike my way down to the stadium. Luckily, it was only a five-minute bike ride. After the session, we grabbed dinner and ate it at a park bench along the river. It was nice to talk to her, her name is Reyna. She's from Spain and she plays centre back, so I'll likely be playing next to her. We talked about what the season and training will look like, and everything there was to know about the team and the coach. So, it will make an interesting season to say the least. After I said bye to Reyna, I biked home, curled up in my bed, and put on Survivor. I decided to rewatch the Winners at War season because it was my dad and I's favourite season. I was missing him and home right about now.
