A couple days have gone by and we were having dinner at Todd's parents' house. His brother and his boyfriend were there too. They met in Cancun during spring break, very college of them, but they're adorable and I stan for it. We had some wine and played games at the table; it was a lot of fun. Once we were done, we decided to take Oscar on a walk at Crispen Beach. It was very cold, but the lights were so beautiful. The snow laid on the path so elegantly and everything felt so magical. We were walking along the beach, then decided to stop at a bench to sit.

"Remember how we came here and you broke up with me." He says.

"Because you cheated on me." I fire back.

"Yeah, I'm still very sorry about that. I can't believe I let myself hurt you like that." He zones off.

"Well, I forgive you. You've changed, you've matured, and I know you have a good heart. I love you for that."

"I will never hurt you ever again, I promise," he turns and looks at me, grabbing both hands, "You are the brightest light in my life, and I am so thankful we crossed paths again. I feel like we were always meant to find each other after we've healed and grown. I love you so much and I don't want to do life without you." He pauses as his voice starts to break. He slowly gets up and then bends his right knee down. Oh my god. He reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a black matte box. He slowly opens it and it's a gorgeous oval cut diamond ring. This isn't real. Is this actually happening?

"Ainsley Summers," he sighs, "will you marry me?" tears start falling down his face. I feel the tears trickle down my warm, pink cheeks. I'm smiling. I can barely speak. I can barely breathe. I take a breath and gently grab his face.

"Absolutely." We both laugh and he kisses me. As he puts the ring on my finger, I hear a bunch of cheering from a distance and Oscar comes running and jumps on us. Both of our families come running, my dad filmed everything. We popped a bottle of champaign and celebrated on the beach. I found him. I found my fiancée and I found my future. I couldn't be happier.
