A lady around early twenties sat on the bench waiting for the train to arrive with a six-month-old baby in her frail arms. Her emotionless face voided from anything but the glow of motherhood. Her shoulders were dropping as if she were weighed down with some burden. It looked like someone had snatched the reason to live away from her brutally. Tears trickled down from her beautiful yet hollow eyes, one after another without her knowledge. Her hold on her baby kept getting tightened unconsciously when the venomous words were ringing in her ears. People around her were giving her weird looks. Some were giving sympathetic looks, whereas some were looking at her lustfully. But it did not affect her at all anymore; it seemed as though she had no emotions left in her. Suddenly, the crying voice of her baby broke her stupor. She glanced down to find her baby was scratching and scraping her face and shoulders in annoyance as her whole face got reddened because of mosquito bites. A drop of tear rolled down through her pale cheeks, looking at her baby's pain. The baby who had everything sometimes back now bereft of everything she had, even her FATHER'S NAME. Irony of fate. She nestled her baby in her warm chest to give her the much-needed comfort, but she was anything but getting calm as what she needed the most to get calmed down was not with her today. Her father.

“Paaa! Mumm...maahhh paa passh jaana. Paa....uunhhh..huhhhnn.. ummm...mummahhhh pa…paapaa…" the baby was to keep crying for her father. Her daughter's pale face and checked voice broke her heart into pieces. She was unable to see her like this, but she was helpless too. She couldn't give her what she wanted. “I'm sorry, meri jaan! I can't give you what you wanted. Your father was not yours anymore. He was NEVER YOURS, maybe”. She mumbled the last words only to herself incoherently, looking at Aashi. Her clogged voice shattered her heart, as the longing in her voice for her father was too palpable to ignore.
