12 Now What?!

"No, no, no that can't be" dad shrieks with a look of pure horror. Matt and I are really close to having another heart attack if anything more adds on.
"What's wrong?" my voice did mimic his panic.
"Li this was the last spell, it's not working, I am not able to change it.."
"You mean to say I'll continue looking like an alien barbie for the rest of my life?!"
Matt laughs earning a death stare from me.
"Li you look..... beautiful."
"A beautiful ALIEN right."
"Stop, this is not the time, I've gotta do something, it's not right, you can't be like this in human world."
"Uncle Jo, don't worry seriously its just the hair and eyes that's staggeringly different. That's like a cos playing. No one will bully her. We can manage everything."
"Matt, my skin and ears and every damn thing is different, I wanna look like me again."
"Li, this is the real you, the look earlier was literally crafted as a cover by me don't forget that.. Arghhh anyway that's not the point, Matt it's not the bullying that I'm worried about only if that would have been the case! I would have been ecstatic!"
"Ecstatic to let people bully me! Wow dad." I mumble offended.
"It's time, I have to tell you both."
"Yes please , we've created enough ambience already please tell us already. Oh and Matt this might sound like he's lost it but bear with it."
Matt nods frantically.
"Thanks Li." the sarcastic tone was a lil too much to be missed.
"Your earlier body was not about just me changing your looks, I changed your smell and aura as well, which is why you were unidentifiable from humans well unless you messed it with your fire or magic."
"To be Frank uncle, Li's not smelling, so that's not a problem." Matt offered comfortingly.
"Am I supposed to smell?! The heck I don't want that-"
"Lemme finish will ya both for once!
So it's not smell as in bad odour, anyway humans can't smell it but mojibyon can, it's something unique to every mojibyon and one's coniux can smell it ten folds. God forbid if something like that occurs." dad exhales while looking visibly stressed.
" Well atleast the house has protection, it'll protect you. You CANNOT go outside Li I repeat you CANNOT step a foot outside the border of the gate! Is that clear? "
" What do you even mean dad I am not understanding a thing! What's a coniux? What smell? And I can't get out of the house! The heck I am gonna listen. What about my university? You said there's magic on it and if I don't go there for long the magic will break..- "
" Li forget about it, you can't go out and that's it! I'll bring whatever you need and Matt can come visit even Kevin is welcome whenever you wanna see him. " dad offers Kevin as if some sorta sacrifice.. This is ridiculous.
" Frankly Mr dad, I don't care about anything, being to university, church and home was enough of a nightmare and now you are even taking university from it! You are supposed to be proud of me for fighting to go to university! What type of a parent are you?! "I huff annoyed
" Uncle Jo, I have to agree on this one, Li is right, you can't take her education from her, that's like a basic human right. "
" Except for the fact that she's not human! " dad sighs almost exhausted but that's not gonna change my mind , we are not done yet!
" Li please listen to me, I beg you... They'll take you away from me if they ever find you. I can't lose you, that's not fair, I won't be able to live without you. "
" Dad literally who are these 'they' you keep referring to? Why would anyone take me away from you? Like does that even make any sense? "
" Li please - " a tear escapes his eyes
" You never have to cry to make me agree drama queen. " I smile saying that and hugging dad. Matt looks like he is about to argue on the importance of medical degree.
" Uncle but still not allowing her to complete the degree! That's just too much.. She'll go with me everyday! Obviously I won't allow anyone near her will that take care of your worries? Let's forget masters but completing basic graduation is needed." Matt tries persuading dad just as I thought.
" Matt I definitely appreciate how much you think and care for Li but my dear the people we are against are powerful, they're not humans, sorry to say but you don't stand a chance against them. Anyways it's pretty late or let's say pretty early." dad says looking at the window, it's 5 am already." Go sleep already, Matt you can sleep with me if that's not a big problem. "
Well can't expect anymore mercy, he already let a human being visit the house! What was I thinking he'd leave Matt and me to sleep together. Gosh you're so stupid Li. I mentally  face-palm myself.
" Ofcourse you are stupid to even have such idea! "dad says to which I can understand what he means but Matt just watches dad like the heck is wrong.. Its hilarious actually.
" Uncle not to interrupt but what are you commenting on? Li didn't say anything. "
Dad sighs before hugging Matt.
" Young man there are a lot of things you don't know about and let's keep it that way. My bedroom is on the right from here and Li's as you know is upstairs which I believe you'd not try to sneak in and let me sleep in peace."
"Well that shouldn't be a bother it's already morning I'll leave."
"Why?" well that came out on its own.
"Kevin messeged me 15 times by now even though I told him I'm at yours. He didn't sleep the whole night as well. He's afraid of being alone at night. He's literally begging me to come at this point. I must go."
"Poor Kevin that guy." I smile nodding my head.
"Well Matt, you can come here anytime to meet Li."
"Thanks uncle Jo."
