Chapter 3

I had to go and meet with my mom at the star bucks in the airport she was wondering where I was , and so she called and asked me to meet her. She wanted to know why I was stalling so I told her I had to use the bathroom; I definitely was not going to tell her about Dylan, I would never here the end of it. I am surprised though I usually am not that interested in guys, but Dylan wow it was like he was perfect even if I only did see him for such a little time.

As I entered the café, I searched for my mom and finally found her in the table closest to the exit. I went over and sat down across from her, surprised my mom looked nervous, “Geez mom chill why are you so nervous?”, I said.

She looked at me and tried to act calm by leaning back in her chair and slumping her shoulders, though her eyes darted around the room. I had to suppress a laugh she never was that good at acting, and I just so happened to be great at acting, which when I was little came in handy.

“Mom” I said in a voice that told her I knew she was acting. She got back in her nervous position again and lowered her voice as if danger was all around us. “Sara, we are in Transylvania, (lower voice) they could be any where.” I almost laughed, but didn’t I know that that would get me in trouble so I lowered my voice, “Mom (I whispered) It is the middle of the day the sun is at its highest”, I said. Mom grimaced but seemed to relax a little more.

After drinking our coffee in my case water, we went and got a cab that took us to our apartment that we are renting for now. As we walked though the door that led to our room, I felt slight less frustrated because the room we walked into was beautiful it was obviously the living room with its nice burgundy carpet and white rug, and its pitch-black leather sofa, including a glass coffee table, completed with a 56” TV.

“Cool” I breathed my eyes wide, my mom came up behind me and patted me on the back. “I know,” she said glad by my reaction. I walked into what I was told to become my room and was ecstatic it was huge and gorgeous I got out my soft comforter and put it on my bed it was my favorite color blue, and started to unpack .

After unpacking some of my things, because the moving truck was not here yet with the rest of our larger things, I decided to take a tour of the building. I walked by all the stores that they had in the building.

While heading back to my room I saw someone I recognized out of the corner of my eye, “Dylan?” I said unsure that my eyes were true. As soon as I said his name, his head turned to reveal a face of an angel. His face was confused for about half of a second when recognition replaced it. “Sara” he said in that perfect voice of his.”Yeah,” I said. “Wow, how are you doing “he asked. “Fine “I said. “What are the odds that we would both be staying in the same building “he said. “I know weird right”, I said still staring at his face. His lips turned up into a perfect smile, “No, he said are you kidding me, I think its fate”, he said beautifully.

My heart was about to break through my rib cage and I looked down embarrassed, for some reason I had a feeling he could hear it. Then while I was trying to figure out something to say, my cell phone rang and I was thankful. “Hello” I said turning away from Dylan. “Sara where are you “my mom said on the other end. “Calm down mom I’m like right across the hall I will be there in a minute, what is so important”?, I asked kind of irritated that I am going to have to leave Dylan. “Mr. Hall said for us to meet him at the new restaurant down town called Drlaun,” she said hurry.” I don’t want to meet him mom”, I said not wanting to meet the man who made me leave my friends.

“Do not argue with me Sara , come home now”, she said and then hung up.

I tuned around to see him staring at me intently, I almost could not speak his eyes held my for another moment, and then I had to turn away before I showed how weak I was against his eyes. “I have to go “I mumbled “my mom needs me “, I said trying to avoid his eyes. “ Okay “he says a little hint of disappointment in his perfect brown eyes, (Stop Sara don’t think about him that way you just met him). “Maybe, we can hangout some time “, he said. “That would be great”, I exclaimed.

“Great “he said happy by my reaction.” I guess I will see you soon then”?, I said turning away towards the hall that would lead me to my apartment. “Yes of course “ he said, and I felt like telling my mom that I wasn’t feeling well and just staying here to talk to him. “Well I got to go so I will see you soon bye”, I said and hoped he would not hear the reluctance in my voice. He smiled so I am sure he could here it. “Bye “, he said, and I smiled because I am pretty sure I heard a little reluctance my self.

As I entered the room, my mom told me to slip on something that was fancy. Therefore, I decided to wear a deep blue silk shirt with a black skirt that went to my knees along with black flats and little make up. As I walked out of my room, my mother said that I looked beautiful; I thanked her and grabbed my purse as we walked to the car.

While we were in the car, I turned the air conditioning up a notch higher. “Sara”, my mom said looking at me with a smile in her face. “ I saw you with a boy in the hallway, talking”, she said . I gasped she was spying on me the whole time. “You were spying on me?”, I asked astonished. “He is cute “ she stated ignoring my question. “Ugh mom” I said irritated with my mother.

We finally got to the restaurant and went inside, my mother acted excited, she has never even met the guy before. Yet she is taking job offers from a man she has not even met. The waiter pointed us to a table that surprised me whoa. When I looked over there I was surprised there were 2 people over at the table a man that looked so young I couldn’t believe he owned a museum , he had to be at most 32 but my mother said that compared to hi on the phone he was 50 wow. Nevertheless, that is not what had me staring mouth hanging wide-open jaw dropped to the floor, it was the young teenage figure sitting next to him. He was Pale so so pale but hot .He had black hair that covered one of his eyes while his other eye was exposed, that stared at me like it  could see deep into my my soul. He was muscular his leather jacket hugged his toned body to where you could see his muscles.

“Elizabeth”!! the older man called to  my mother excited “Mr. Hall”, she said in a surprised tone. He chuckled and looked toward me and smiled in a way that kind of made me feel a little awkward . “It is nice to finally meet you you look beautiful,” he said in a sweet voice. I smiled in return to his comment, and he took it as a sign for him to go on. “Sara this is my son Trevor,” he said motioning towards his son to say something.

“Sara” he said in a voice so musical and perfect, that when I said “Trevor” my voice sounded like it was horse. The corner of his mouth was twitching towards a smile , It made me want to say something that would make him actually smile. As if he could hear my thoughts, he looked up and stared into my soul.
