A Strong Bond (alternate story)- Hiatus

Malroths POV - chapter 1

(Hi sorry for the late update I'm not quite dont with chapter 7 so here's a filler kinda I'll make more if I need to take breaks they will be shorter than my normal chapters)

I wave to taru as he heads off to his house, finally deciding to sleep after 3 days of work. After he is out of sight I head to my own house.

Morning comes around and I head out of my house, I'm walking towards the restaurant when I hear a voice behind me "good morning to you too" says a pink-haired girl with hands on her hip "sorry lulu I don't pay attention to annoying people" I snicker "whatever" she scoffs "anyway do you know where taru is I wanted to ask him something" I turn towards her and tilt my head "why are you asking me if you wanna ask him something go find him yourself" she rolls her eyes "please can you just go get him and tell him to meet me at the castle" I go back to walking and wave my hand at her "fine I'll go find him"

I walk to tarus house to find him, as I get there I look into his window not seeing him there though I saw his toolbelt on his dresser that's strange I thought to myself, I went to search around the island for all the different places taru would either hang out or build in. I had also asked every one of the residents if they had seen him, but not a single person had seen him today. After I got tired of looking for him I headed to the castle where lulu said she would be waiting.

When I get there I wave to lulu and she looks at me putting a hand on her hip "so where's taru" she asked me "I looked around and asked everyone, but no one saw him and I couldn't find him

"You of all people couldn't find him, have you talked to brown beard," she says looking at me I shake my head "his toolbelt was in his house why would taru have left without it" she sighs "ok that makes sense but you should still ask I'll come with you," she says walking towards in the direction of the boat I follow behind her until we make it to brown beard lulu speaks "hey brown beard has taru left by boat at all, we've been looking for him but no ones seen him" the captain shakes his head "no I haven't seen him either sorry" worry starts to grow in both me and lulus stomachs we glance at each other ", hey malroth maybe we should go speak to the hairy hermit," lulu says I nod in agreement.

We both raced up the mountain up to the hairy hermit's spot. We both make it there and greet him both of us out of breath "are you two o- o- o- ok" the glowing hammerhood said when he spotted us. I start "do you have any idea where taru is, we've looked everywhere" he looks at us then speaks "are you cer- cer- certain he's nowhere else" lulu speaks up in a loud voice "of course were certain we wouldn't be here if we've looked everywhere we can beforehand" the hairy hermit nods then speak "well there's a chance- chance- a chance he could be in alefgard" we both stare at him like he's crazy then lulu speaks "isn't alefgard where he grew up that was in the real world how the hell did he get there without a boat"

"I don't know-know-know but there are not many other places that he could be" the hammerhood exclaims "yeah I think we should go there just in case he is there," lulu says to me "alright fine let's go to alefgard" I mumble putting one hand on my hip lulu looks back towards the hairy hermit, "I think we should leave right now would you tell the residents where we are if they ask", he nods to her words

I and lulu walk back to brown beard "how can you be so sure he's there" I say looking at the clouds "I don't I just said it would be a good idea to check" she says with a smirk "check? We are gonna be gone for days. This isn't what I'd call checking" I snicker, she punches my arm after I say it and runs down the hill to get ahead of me. I run to get in front of her and we keep going back and forth until we are racing down the mountain. We both make it back to brown beard me winning the race but out of breath so is lulu "welcome back" brown beard says on our arrival

I looked up to him "hey brown beard can you get us to alefgard?" I say putting my hands on my hip and tilting my head. He gives me the same look we were giving the hairy hermit, lulu chimes in "the hairy hermit told us we might find him in alefgard so we plan on going there", he nods "alefgard yeah I think I can go there whereabouts though" I think for a moment then say "cantlin, get us close to cantlin" "what's so special about cantlin" lulu protests "did you forget that's his hometown if there's anywhere hed want to go it'd be his hometown" I say smiling

"Ok well are you leaving now," brown beard says interrupting our conversation "yeah I don't need anything," I say turning to lulu "so are you staying here" she shakes her head "no I'm coming you'll feel lonely without taru to talk to on the journey," she says mockingly. I huff getting on the boat and heading to my usual spot "i'll get lonely without him, but you being here will just annoy me" I laugh "hey!" lulu says annoyed

Brownbeard started the ship and headed out; the ride wasn't particularly interesting, lulu wined when some seawater had sprung onto the ship and wet her dress. I had laughed at her barely missing a shoe flying past my face and falling straight into the water .Hearing lulu scream and head straight for the edge of the boat watching her shoe drift with the waves, I had no choice but to grab it because she had refused to go in the water.

We had finally made it to land and lulu looked overjoyed to have made it. I was happy to it felt like years on the boat, probably because of lulu's constant wining. As i step off the boat i turn to lulu ''do you know where cantlin is'' I ask, "you don't know where it is'' she says hands on her hips ''obviously I don't know, I've never been here" i answer lulu groans "no i don't know where cantlin is" she then turns to brownbeard "do you have a map or anything" brownbeard thinks for a moment then goes to the back of his ship. We wait there for awhile until he returns with a map in hand "i keep maps of different locations, here's one of alefgard" he says handing the map to lulu we both thank him and head towards cantlin

"So cantlin isn't far from here we should be there in an hour" lulu says analysing the map "and what if he's not there" i ask her she looks at me "why are you asking me i don't know" she said looking back at the map. We walk in silence for a while, "this is boring" I groan after awhile "what do you mean boring?!" lulu yells "i mean this walk is boring, there's no one to talk to" i say holding my hands behind the back of my head lulu looked offended and punched my arm "you can talk to me" i sighed mockingly and smiled at her "i cant talk to you youd annoy me to much" i say laughing while lulu glared at me "whatever were here anyway" she huffs.

In front of us was a town quite a big one in fact so that's cantlin. I thought to myself I asked taru if he could take me here one day, not that I thought i'd ever see it. My thoughts are interrupted by lulu yelling at me to hurry up. We both walk inside the town seeing some people stare at us as we do lulu waves with a smile "hi we're looking for our friend we think he's here" she says in a sweet voice the people around us seem auspicious one man walks up to us "people rarely leave this village and we've never seen you before" i cross my arms "were not doing anything bad we just want to find our friend" the man looks at me "whos your friend then " he says looking at me "his name is taru and we were told he could be here" he looks at me then says "i'll get his parents" he says before walking to a room

Lulu looks at me "his parents, does that mean he's not here" i look back at her "maybe not but were gonna meet his parents" i say as the man comes back with two people they greet us then lulu speaks "it's nice to meet you i know you don't know us but we're friends with taru and we've been looking for him for some time now do you happen to know where he is" she says in the same sweet voice i wanna laugh at the way shes speaking shes never that formal "you're looking for our son well i'm sorry to disappoint you but he's not here, he left for tantagel yesterday" says his mother. Me and Lulu were stunned by the information that he was here. I then smile "thanks well head there now" i say running for the gate though stopping when i hear lulu calling after me "hey were not done talking get back here" she yells, i walk back and cross my arms "you could at least wait until we're done here" lulu scolds me

Lulu stays for a bit talking to his parents about him. I pay attention to what they're saying, not that it interests me after a while she calls me over. When i walk over to lulu she says "we should get going now" i cross my arms ''finally, feels like i've been waiting years" lulu punches my arm. We wave to his parents as we leave heading towards Tantagel by using the map.
