"Son... you need to eat and rest." My father spoke walking fully into my room.

I ignored him as I carried on tending to my mates' wounds. I rubbed the healing herbs on the skin that stubbornly wouldn't heal as fast as the others. My hands shook each time I did this, guilt eating away.

"Son." My father placed his hand on top of my shaky hands. "I'll have a nurse take over."

I shoved his hand off me. "I got it!"

He sighed. "Son you can't keep doing this. It's been two weeks now. We need to move forward with Katherine's execution. Son, It's over, she's dea..."

"It's not over! I didn't wait this long to find my mate only for her to di..." I choked. "Die in my arms." I pushed her curls away from her beautiful face. A thought suddenly popped into my head. "I want that witch up here and I want her up here now. She's going to fix this."

My father stepped forward. "Son..."

"Now!" I growled at him.

I heard him sigh and walk out of the room. Moments later, I heard the sound of chains rattling before a knock was placed on the door. "Enter!"

The smell of blood and waste hit my nostrils as two guards dragged Katherine in. "What a wonderful surprise." She spoke. "Oh look, you still have Faith's body. Poor thing, never even stood a chan..."

I was away from my mate's side and gripping her neck within seconds. Her feet dangled off the floor, kicking to her free. "Don't you ever speak of my mate like that again!"

She laughed, showing her bloodily stained teeth to me.

"You are going to bring her back," I growled.

Her laughter continued. "Yeah right, why the fuck would I do that?"

A guard entered the room. "Alpha, we just got notice that Kaius has entered the premises. Right now he believes that he's undetected. He's unaware of the shield we put up to ward off unwanted magic. We have him trapped, do you want us to kill him?"

It was my turn to smile at Katherine. "Right on time."

Katherine fought against me, no longer smiling. "No!"

My hand gripped her neck even tighter. "Kill him."

"I'll do it!" She struggled. "I'll bring her back."

I threw her to the floor. "Bring him to me."

She crawled closer to my feet. "I said I'll do it! Please!"

"Now!" I growled at him. "And pick her up."

The two guards quickly picked her up. Soon after, Kaius was brought up in protective shackles around his neck and hands. "Katherine!" He tried to get to her, only to be yanked back by his neck. He fell to the ground, choking.

"I said I'll help you! Stop it!" Katherine cried. "Just don't let them kill him."

I walked over to her and grabbed her by her hair. "If you even try to fuck me over, he will die and I will make sure there's no resurrection. Got it?"

She nodded. "Got i-ah!" She screamed as I dragged her over to the bed. I pulled her up to her feet. "I need echinacea, ginger, ginko, sage, and purified water."

I snapped my finger to one of the guards. After some time went by, they returned with the ingredients along with a mortar and pestle. One of the guards walked over with the key to her restraints. "I'm warning you, Katherine, try something if you want to." She nodded her head as I released her.
