Chapter 2 - Her Parents' Room
Sarah ran to her parents' room. She was shocked when she discovered her puppy was locked in his kennel, whining and pawing at the kennel door. She ran over and let her puppy out. For some reason her eyes went to her parents' closet door. She ran to the closet door and was confused when she found it locked. Then she heard her aunts running down the hall. Her puppy, Coco growled toward her parents closed bedroom door. She tossed him in his kennel and quickly locked the kennel door before she dived under the bed.
Her aunts threw the bedroom door open as they entered her parents' room from the hall. Her Aunt Jackie said, "She's not in here. The dog is still in its kennel."
Her Aunt Betty pulled out a key and unlocked the closet door. "Their still in here," she mumbled as she shut the closet door and fumbled with the lock, thinking she had relocked it.
After her aunts left the room, Sarah climbed out from under their bed and ran to the closet determined to get the door open. To her surprise, it wasn't locked any more. Sarah opened the door and gasped at what she saw....
