Going to prison, presumably for the rest of your life, wasn't a common occurrence for you. Out of the crazy situations you'd found yourself in over the past, while this one may not specifically the craziest, it sure was the most permanent.
A guard who's name you didn't bother remembering grabbed you roughly by your arm and dragged you inside of a nether portal. You didn't bother trying to pull away. He was in full enchanted netherite— it would be foolish to fight back.
Of course, you didn't even know why you were here. The guard just told you that you had done something that "upset the balance of the prison", and that was that. You guessed this was the issue with private prison systems. They didn't have many laws that they followed.
"Can you at least tell me why I'm here? I'd like to know the reason for a life sentence," You grumbled, staring up at the guard. You could see him roll his eyes.
"You pose a threat to the containment of one of our other prisoners. We cannot risk having him escape." Your eyes widened.
"So you're arresting me because I pose a threat? Do you understand how bloody corrupt that is? And if this is supposed to be a prison, you're supposed to be protecting the prisoner from people who are apparently like me— not imprisoning me too!" Your blood boiled. If they wanted to arrest people who posed a threat to the safety of the prison and people who would help the prisoner escape if they had the chance, they might as well arrest the whole goddamn server.
The guard halted, stared at you in disbelief, and threw you roughly on the floor. You let out a groan in pain.
"Watch your mouth, running it at a time like this wouldn't be intelligent in your position." The man scolded. Holding back a sigh, you nodded.
You pulled yourself up and followed the guard carefully, trying to scan the prison for any exits. Alas, nothing seemed possible to reach as it was too far.
You followed his command as he went through the procedures to get you ready for the prison cell. You remained silent, not wanting to make him mad as you doubted he wouldn't try to hurt me if you did.
You went to the small room he pointed to and put on my prison suit. You let out a sigh. Here. This is where you'd supposedly stay for the rest of your life. In this prison, with nothing but obsidian walls encasing you. Alone.
"Hurry up!" You heard the guard's voice yell. You let out an annoyed huff as you exited the room. You remained quiet as he harshly grabbed your shoulder and shoved you forward.
You both approached a thick wall of lava now, and your brows furrowed. You asked nothing. You stared at the prison guard as he pulled a lever, and slowly— very slowly— the lava ceased pouring down.
As it lowered, you caught a glimpse of a room that seemed to be placed in the middle of all the lava.
I'm going to be there? I might as well go to hell— seems like the same thing, you thought to yourself, crossing your arms.
As the lava lowered more, you noticed the face of someone familiar— dreadfully familiar. You thought you were going to be alone this whole time. Now, you preferred the prospect compare to this.
