This is one of my favorite parts... cover art! It's always fun to do and may bring you inspiration throughout writing. I personally would recommend these sites to use:
Adobe: https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/starters.html?sdid=QTV3P81Q&mv=search&s_kwcid=AL!3085!10!79714778319577!79714918381261&ef_id=c3fa7fe7a1411b3070401d6b291adc65:G:s
Pic•Collage (my go-to): https://piccollage.com/
Canva: https://www.canva.com/
or just use your own art! Personally, I've always used Pic•Collage to make covers,
feel free to edit with a filter or so when youredone! Now, usually Author's seem to have a signature - a style to create cover's with. Mine always has roses in it, in the background it'll have a black and white picture of roses until you see that red one, thats just me. For you it may be having a headshot on the front, or fanart you drew, or just regular art.
Try fitting a cover along these lines;
• Original
• Artist, creative, and full of effort
• Goes with the book
...That's it. Just that simple.
Pen name- now a pen name does not have to be your name. For example, Dr. Suess, not his name, but close. Yours will usually tell what style you write in, I don't know how, but it sure does. Like mine has always been Vail, or something with Vail in it, that's just me. Can you make changes ti your pen name? Sure, just make sure your readers are aware.
How do you make a pen name? Try making something out of these:
• Your nickname
• Something to word your signature
• Your name
• Or, like me, come up with one over time!
