Dove

13 1 2

The dove spreads it's wings

and cocks its head

the music of its song

are words unwritten

looking up

a flash of light

dove by day

star by night

so many questions

no answers

from the dove

who sits on her perch

she is pondering

thinking

with the olive branch in her beak

who she shall bring peace to next

her feathers

stunning

her gaze

as if she were mocking you

"Coo coo, you could never be as pretty as me."

And you couldn't

you gaze at her with awe

as she decides what to do next

show off her wings in the moonlight

is what she will do

She spreads her wings

and leaps into the air

so effortlessly

you think

maybe you could too.

and she spreads love

and she spreads peace throughout the air.
