There I am, sitting down on a chair drinking a Nuka cola after wiping out the raider encampment and turning it into another one of my settlements. I put down plenty of turrets around for defenses so I wasn't a bit worried about anything sneaking up on me. After I was done drinking Nuka cola I put back my helmet on and started my walk back to the castle. The trip back was uneventful, except for a few wandering raiders and a pack of feral dogs, so I got to the castle without the slightest problem. I swear seeing the castle still surprises me that it's still standing even when the nukes fell.

Preston: Oh hey General, you cleared out that settlement?
Y/N: yeah I did Preston, but I told to stop calling me general and call me by my name, we're friends after all.
Preston just chuckled and said sorry, Though I knew it would happen more than I like.
Preston: Anyways, I got another settlement that needs your help. I'll mark it on your map
*Time Skip to location because I'm kind of lazy*
When I arrived everyone was acting as if nothing is wrong, though I don't go to settlements without a reason. Only reason I would be there is if they have a problem they cant solve or when people are low in defense wise or food wise etc..
I went up to the person who is the leader of the settlement and had informed the minutemen that they needed our help. Though when he notice me I could see the fear in his eyes which I was a small bit happy about it because at least I know that I can make my enemy's fear me by just looking, though its gets difficult when trying to just talk to settlers or others. Though can ya blame them with how I look?

Anyways I approached him and asked them what the problem was.
settler: Oh your with the minutemen I thought you were... never mind anyway we need your help with a group of raiders, they've been terrorizing us and threatening us if we don't give them what they want.
Y/n: raiders huh, should be easy enough.
I said with a bit of annoyance because of how common raiders were when it comes to settlement's, though he said something that surprised me abit.
settler: that's the problem though, there not. These raiders have prewar gear and weapons, and there more organized then any raider group I've seen.
He said as if he couldn't believe it himself.
Y/n: hmm? you sure there not gunners?
settler: I'm 100 percent sure, they didn't talk like a gunner or act like one.
'huh weird' I thought 'were in the world could they have gotten such gear? And why are they organized? that just ain't normal' after I was done talking with the settler and finding out were the raiders camp were, which was on a still intact highway road not to far away from the settlement, and from the looks of it they could easily snipe the settlers from were there camp was. I started to walk towards the camp, while i was walking I pulled out my 50 cal. M82 sniper rifle out.

I then started looking around the area for an elevated ground where I could possibly snipe from and found a good position and I started heading towards it when I heard a sniper shot. I immediately headed for cover, but not before getting a bullet grazing my shoulder.
The wound wasn't deep enough to worry about so I ignored and focused on my current problem. I pulled out binoculars and looked over the cover I was currently behind and looked towards the highway to see how many enemies I have to deal with. I saw at least two snipers, one guy with a shotgun, two riflemen and what I assume was their boss with a power suit and a laser Gatling gun.
I went back into cover just when a bullet zips past where my head was before. 'huh, they got some decent snipers, at least they wont make this boring' I stood up and aimed at on sniper pulled the trigger and he was dead but not before pulling the trigger and barley grazing my helmet, I then used V.A.T.S. and selected the other sniper and both of the riflemen and activated it. four were dead and that only left the shot-gunner and their boss.
After I killed four out of six of the raiders, I started heading towards the camp and while I was doing that I put away my Barrett and pulled out my M249 saw out.

when I arrived near their encampment I saw a lift which I took up towards their camp. while i was going up I took out a grenade and pulled the pin, waiting to throw it when I had the chance. once I reached the top I immediately went for cover which was smart cause they were ready to open fire the second they saw someone coming up on the lift. I threw a grenade around the corner and heard someone when it exploded. That leaves me and their boss, how do I know it's their boss who is left alive, will that's easy. wearing power armor, a frag will barely scratch power armor. that's how I know dumb-ass. anyway I was still hiding behind cover till I heard him curse which means his out, I turned around the corner and fired at him till I empty my entire mag into him. After I ran out I walked up to him and pushed him over, he fell right over hitting the ground face first.
After I killed them, I took a moment to look at the few. The sun was setting and I started to wonder what would happen if the nukes never fell, if everything was normal? no mutants, no raiders no nothing. To be honest, I would rather have this life then my old one. I guess I missed having the excitement of a fight. after I was done thinking, I looted the entire place like a goblin taking gold. Then I started heading back to the settlement.
