In this world, there are many obstacles blocking our path. They can be both material and invisible, untouchable. For Y/n, there are many obstacles at the moment, the worst one being her inability to properly speak the language of the country she had decided to live in after twenty years of living in Las Vegas.
Wandering around aimlessly through the city she had just moved to one week ago, her eyes surveying her surroundings thoroughly, searching for any sort of help that this city has to offer, at one moment, she stopped walking.
Great, what should I do now?
She thought, running her hands through her luscious (h/c) hair. All of a sudden, the wind forcefully moved her hair onwards, covering her face entirely, leading to a couple strands of her hair getting stuck in her mouth.
She moved her hair backwards aggressively, cursing under her breath.
„Um, excuse me miss...would you mind moving to the side for a bit, I can't pass through the door while you're standing there...”
Her eyes landed onto the dark haired girl standing before her with a soft expression on her face, kindness radiating from her smile.
I literally didn't understand half of the things you just said girl.
Y/n's confused gaze made the girl realize that she must have been unable to understand her, and she also seemed like a foreigner to her.
„Do you speak Korean miss?”
The girl suddenly spoke in English, which instantly made Y/n sigh in relief, finally being able to speak to the female standing before her.
„Not much...but I can speak English if that's alright with you...”
„Yes, sure! It's alright. Anyway, what I was asking you before was if you could please move to the side for a bit since I can't really enter the building with you standing there.”
Y/n turned back only to see sliding door, which had more than enough space for the girl to enter the building if only she had tried to do it.
„Um, there's literally a bunch of space for you to pass...”
„Yeah, sorry about that,” she moved a strand of her hair behind her ear nervously „I just wanted to talk to you, since you seemed so lost and all...”
„Hey, that's great! I actually am lost so if you could help me with figuring out where I am at the moment and where is the best nearby restaurant, that would be awesome.”
The girl chuckled at her words „You really have no idea about anything around here?”
„Exactly, I literally just moved to Seoul a week ago.”
„That's great! By the way, I like your outfit!”
„Really? Well thank you! People do tell me that I have a good sense of fashion.”
„As they should, because you really do! Also...about your current location,” she paused for a moment, glancing up at the enormous sign „you are in front of the JYP entertainment building.”
„The what?”
„The music company, or rather K-pop music company. The one that has groups such as Itzy, Twice and Stray kids.”
„Wait, what? I am in front of that building?!”
„Yes.”
Y/n then paused to think before asking the first question that came to her mind.
