Work time was almost over for the day, Y/n and Soyeon helped the rest of the staff members pack all of the equipment used for recording a skz code episode.

Walking over to the first available chair she spotted, Y/n sat down on it placing her bag on her lap and opening it to search for her phone.

„So how was your first day at work, Y/n?” Soyeon asked, sitting on the chair next to Y/n, with a smile decorating her face.

„Exhausting, but also fun,” Y/n said, still searching for her phone.

„What are you doing?” Soyeon asked, glancing at her with narrowed eyes.

„I'm looking for my phone...have you seen it anywhere?”

„Actually, yes, I have.”

Y/n instantly shifted her eyes towards Soyeon's face, waiting for further explanation.

„It's literally in your hand.”

Y/n then suddenly realized that she was holding her phone in her hand already, before she even decided to look for it.

„I'm an idiot,” Y/n mumbled, face palming herself with a bland smile painted on her countenance.

„Yes, you are. Now tell me what's wrong.”

„Everything's fine, really,” she said, unlocking her phone.

„Then why do you seem so absentminded?”

Y/n then brought her gaze back to Soyeon's face, offering her a sincere smile as she spoke.

„I'm fine, really. I'm just still shocked that everything's changed so suddenly. I mean...I met you and you helped me get better at Korean, and I even moved into your apartment. Now, I even got a job as a Stray kids staff member, which is not something that just anyone can get a chance to do. I'm just still processing all these events...”

Soyeon grinned at her, petting her right shoulder reassuringly.

„Don't worry, I'll always be here for you no matter what.”

„Thanks, Soyeon. You're literally the best person I've ever met in my life.”

Hearing sniffing from behind, the two girls turned their heads around to face three members of the group.

„That's adorable...” Felix said with teary eyes, while Chan placed his right arm over Felix's shoulders, pulling him closer to his chest.

„What are you guys doing here?” Soyeon asked, glancing at each one of the three members for a split second.

„We just wanted to say bye to you two before you leave,” Chan said with a grin plastered on his visage.

„Why is Felix crying though?” Y/n asked, staring at the emotional mess with a demonic voice.

„We overhead your conversation just now, so that might be the reason,” Changbin said, petting the top of Felix's head as he moved away from Chan, to look at the girls with puffy eyes.

„I just had flashbacks of the pre-debut time,” Felix explained, sniffing.

Y/n got up from her chair, approaching Felix with her arms spread widely. It didn't take long for him to weakly smile at her, using his chance to hug her tightly while she caressed his back gently.

„Don't cry,” she said, taking notice of his perfume „that is all in the past anyway.”

She closed her eyes for a second, and once she opened them, she spotted Hyunjin passing nearby, as he pretended not to see what was happening at the moment.
