„Y/n, a little help here?” Soyeon called out and Y/n promptly rushed towards the place her best friend's voice came from.

„What is it?” she asked, her eyes immediately landing on the taller boy sitting on the white wooden chair.

„No,” Y/n said, turning around as she attempted walking away, but the grip on her left wrist stopped her.

„Soyeon, I can't and I don't want to help with this, I have more important things to do there,” she said, gesturing towards the place she just came from.

„Please,” Soyeon said, offering her best friend a sudden attack with puppy eyes. Y/n quickly pulled her hand out of Soyeon's grip, glancing away.

„No, I'm not falling for that trick anymore,” she said, remembering all the times Soyeon would use that specific trick against her to get things to go her way.

„Well, that's too bad because all other staff members are busy doing other things and I'm pretty sure I just heard that the cameraman needs help with...turning on his camera so, yeah bye!” Soyeon left before Y/n could do or say anything in order to stop her, leaving her best friend alone with Hyunjin one more time.

He merely kept sitting on the chair, observing the two in silence as they had their little argument.

Y/n finally turned to face him, and quickly offered him a questionable glare.

„Are you two always like this?” he suddenly asked, and at first she reflexively furrowed her eyebrows, confused by his unexpected interest.

„Yes and what do you need help for?”

„Putting this on,” he said, holding up the tie for his suit.

„You don't know how to put a tie on?”

„And what about it?” he asked, glaring at her.

„Nothing, I just wasn't expecting you to be that clueless,” she said, approaching him and taking the black tie from his hand, her fingers slightly brushing against his palm.

She then positioned the tie around his shoulders, the wider part of the tie resting on his right as she then twisted it over and under the narrow part, crossing it over once again. She then folded the wide tip under itself, pulling it through the loop at his collar. Promptly inserting the wider end through the horizontal loop at the front of the tie, she pulled it through, forming the dimple as she pinched the sides of the tie just below the front knot.

She pulled the wide end one more time, tightening the tie as she gave one last pinch to the knot, stabilising the dimple.

His eyes followed every movement she made, every twist of her hands, every single step to properly putting on and adjusting the tie. Ultimately landing on her face, his gaze decided to stay there, observing her facial features, memorising each one carefully.

Finishing up the final adjustment of the tie, she glanced up to his eyes, and the moment their eyes met, she subconsciously stopped breathing.

Was it because of the intensity of his gaze? Was it because of the way his eyes slided downward to her lips and remained there for a couple seconds before finally returning up to her own eyes? She didn't know, she didn't even think anymore, simply standing there in silence, frozen, unable to move further.

He then suddenly cleared his throat, glancing to the side, his jaw seemed to be tightening.

„Thank you, Y/n,” he said, leaving before she could even utter a single word back as a response.
