Mika sat in the room for a good hour or so, he listened to his Mum screaming at Paloma and Yasmine, clearly she wasn't very happy. Mika Remembered how pushing his Mother was to make her children succeed and do well despite how loving she was.
He heard his Mothers footsteps approaching his room and he hid under the covers of hid bed, after all these years he was still upset whenever he thought he disappointed his mum and didn't want her to see him upset.
"Mica?" The door opened and her soft voice could be heard. Mika squeezed his eyes shut, trying to hold his ever lasting tears in after not hearing that sweet voice in over a year. It didn't help, he softly cried as his Mother sat down on the bed next to him and slowly removed the covers soaked in tears from his head. He still refused to look at her.
How Dare he embarrass his family like that! He thought to himself as his Mom turned him round.
"I'm sorry Muma!" He managed to choke out. "I promised I'd never let you down but I did and now I'm getting kicked out of school early and I've messed up my future and now I'll really be a disappointment to us all!" He wailed as his Mum held him close and kissed him on the head.
"Oh Mica, you arent a disappointment, you could never disappoint me even if you try your best, today I may of seemed angry and I was, you should of known better than to use that nasty language but you have such wonderful talents that I'm sure you will put to good use one day and your name will be in shining lights of a grand theatre hall, I will always be there for you!" She smiled and held the young boy tightly.
"What about the Royal Albert hall, About school, I can't be kicked out yet!" he looked up at his Mum still balling his eyes out.
"That is an issue but I had a chat with your principle, They've agreed to let you stay but you cannot go to the Albert hall, that is a given but one day, you will perform there in a grand concert with your talent, If you ever end up out of school, you will be the best performer the world has ever seen." she smiled softly. "I need to go start cooking food now, I will tell your Papa about how good you were in the school talent show when I next get to speak to him but we'll leave the rudeness out of it!" she smiled as she stopped holding him and began to leave his room.
Mika looked at her with a weak but meaningful smile. he thought for a second, remembering the time when he did perform his song Rain at The Albert hall in 18 years time. He remembered his Moms joy and the happy tears in her eyes.
"One day, I'll sing for you there. In 18 years!" he smiled at her.
His mother stopped at the door. "18 years is a long time away but I'll always be there, Even in 60 years when im gone from old age. Love you Mica." She smiled and closed the rooms door as she left. A small tear ran down Mika's face, he couldnt bear to tell her than it was actually less than 30 until she was gone, until that beautiful smile was gone.
"Love you too Mom." Mika yawned as he suddenly felt compelled to fall asleep as he smelt dinner cooking and could hear his Mother humming softly.
