Hi, I'm Nova! It's Summer currently and it's been super fun especially with us having been in the pool almost every day from the beginning of Summer.

My mom said I am going to transfer to a different school in September and I have been very worried since she told me that. My dad has been looking in the mail every day since then. I've been trying to figure out why but he seems too suspicious to mess with.

It's night-time right now and I've been super anxious. I am super tired and have been falling asleep a lot during the day.

Not like it matters, it's only Summer.

CREAK!! What was that? I was scared now, my window opened and closed twice. Was it because of me? I looked at my desk and a pencil disappeared into thin air. I ran to my bed questioning my existence while weird things happening around me. "MOM!?!?!" I screamed.

This was my last resort but she was the only thing I could think of that would save me. As she saw what was happening around me her face lit up. "YES! My dear daughter is going to Hogwarts! Hopefully...but you are going to a magic school," said my Mom in a very exciting voice.

"What are you talking about?" "I have to tell you everything. Especially about your great-grandpa, Great-Grandpa Newt. He is the one that was alive in 1926. Surprisingly he is still alive 65 years later at the age of 95 years old," said Mom in a rush.

"Slow down, what is going on Mom," I asked kind of worried if my Mom's mental health was ok. "Your great-grandpa is a wizard and went to Hogwarts, I did as well, and so did your father. Your dad's grandfather is your great grandfather who is great-grandpa Newt. He saved the world from Grindelwald, alongside your great-grandma who helped," thoughts rushed through my brain as she spoke word for word.

"This is where your blood right comes in. Ever since your great-grandfather has been made a Hufflepuff all of his following descendants have been made such. Dad, his dad, and eventually you and yours," said my Mom.

Every bedtime story I've ever been told about Hogwarts it's all real?

"That doesn't explain the constant worry and Dad going back and forth between the house and the mailbox," I said, my Mom thought for a moment as my Dad walked in and sat next to her. His smile looked sincere and happy.

My mom began speaking again, "Well, we have been waiting to see if your letter to Hogwarts has come in the mail. It should be here this week if you get in. If not then you didn't get in. I've just been worried. You only get in if you have something happen to you that you can't explain," I was super surprised at everything Mom had just told me.

I am a wizard, I am going to a school for wizards?

"What! Dad is this true? Mom, were you a Hufflepuff too?" I asked shocked. "What, no. I was a Gryffindor. The better House in my opinion," said my Mom softly. "Hey!!!" said my Dad feeling offended. I laid down on my bed hoping for this crazy dream to end.

I pinched myself hard and I was still there. I need to sleep so I could process this. Then I dozed off into a deep sleep to get out of this very weird moment.

-The Next Day-

I woke up to the sound of sizzling on a pan downstairs and the excellent smell of crispy bacon, juicy sausage, and golden eggs. I got up a little sleepily. I got dressed into my favorite hoodie and jeans that have iron-on patches of little skulls and my favorite Rock-Band.

We were going to 'the Annual Summer's End Carnival' where I always win at every game I ever play there. I'm super excited to win something at the game called, 'Big Loot'.

I started walking down the steps to get to the kitchen. "Morning Sleepy Head!" said my Dad. My Mom gestured to the chair and then the table.

I sat down in the chair and looked down at a plate of gorgeous looking food, Orange Juice, and a letter? "Dad, what is this?" I asked a bit confused. I looked at the letter again. It had our address in bold, black, letters but wait. It's addressed to me, but why?

"It's your admission letter to Hogwarts. You got in. It came this morning," I looked at the letter with newfound awe for it. I grabbed my fork and ate staring at it the whole time.

When I finished I grabbed my tennis shoes and said, "Are you ready to go to the carnival?" I asked. "We aren't going to the carnival," said my Mom in a normal sounding voice.

"What?! But I thought I wa-" "We are going to go get your supplies for school today," said my Mom cutting me off. That didn't make me feel any better than I was already.

I plopped down in my chair thinking about what I would have to get for school. "Are you going to open it or not?" said my dad staring at me. "Open what?" I asked staring at my Dad blankly.

"The letter of course. What else?" I grabbed the letter and carefully opened it. It had the school list enclosed with the letter and had lots of different things. I handed it to dad so he could read the never-ending list.

"Well have to stop by Gringotts. You still have the keys in the safe?" my Dad asked my Mom. "Yes. Do you remember how to get down there Lysander?" asked my Mom. "Yes, dear," with that my Dad left. "What was that about?" I asked in a very intrigued and confused voice.

"We will need to stop by a vault to get the money to do this shopping for school supplies," She grabbed her hot tea and stood by the counter looking from the letter to me smiling. I could tell she was proud of me.

She placed the mug on the table and sat down on the third chair. She sipped slowly and grabbed her plate to serve herself some food. Dad had opened the attic door to come back upstairs. "Got it!" said Dad while tapping his pocket lightly so we could hear the light jingle of the key.

He came back towards the table and sat back down, "I got a letter from the Weasley's. Remember Arthur? We haven't seen him since the Potter's funeral," Mom's face lit up.

She then said, "Oh, yes I remember. That funeral was when we brought Nova when she was one year old," I then interrupted my Mom saying, "Who are the Potters?" my Mom seemed startled at the question. She placed the mug on the table while still gripping the handle. "They are our family,"
