Everything started off pretty well for our first "official" date. Connor, like the gentleman he was, arrived early and patiently waited for me outside as I got ready, not that it took me long. The simple clothes I already had on, a plain black shirt and loose blue jeans, were sufficient. It wasn't like were going out in public or anything, we were just heading back to his place to pig out and watch a movie or two. Definitely my kind of date.
It was almost like we were just two close buds hanging out, except there were some added bonuses. We could laugh and play around with each other all we wanted, and afterwards cuddle up in each other's arms.
Was I still dreaming?
Everything was going well, until Connor began to make his move on me. He was subtle about it, I'll give him that, but I could still tell he was in the mood. While he held me in his arms, he kissed me on the neck, then slowly, but surely, his hands began to go under and up my shirt.
"C-Connor," I began pushing back playfully. "Come on, stop. I'm trying to watch the movie."
He paused, only for a second to look back at the TV screen. "Don't worry. We've already seen this movie hundreds of times already. Besides, we could always just watch it again later..."
To be honest, I was getting pretty turned on just by the tone of his voice, but part of me was also fighting hard to be reasonable take things slow. It had only been a few days since we had both ended up together in my bed, but we had yet to actually do anything serious, and by the looks of it, Connor was more than ready to give it a try. I on the other hand wasn't entirely sure.
Determined go further with me, he came at me again, this time more straight forward by actually grabbing me and literally carrying me, sitting me on his lap. I played along and let him continue, even pushing forward a bit myself, but then he reached for the zipper on my pants and I had to stop him there.
"What's wrong?" He asked, concerned he'd done something wrong.
"Nothing, it's just..." How could I put it lightly? "Have you ever been with... well you know? I mean, do you even know how to..."
"Oh." He had to stop to actually think about what he was doing. "I didn't even think... no, not really. Have you ever... you know."
I should have just kept my big mouth shut.
"Me? Ha." I tried laughing about it, not the smartest move on my part. "Well yeah... sort of."
"What?"
"Yeah, nothing serious though..." I wasn't sure if that made it sound better or worse, but by the look on Connor's face it didn't seem to help. "Only with a few guys, and mostly out of curiosity."
"A few?"
Shit! I shouldn't have said that either.
Before I could continue shooting myself in the foot, I was saved by the sound of someone walking down the stairs into Connor's basement to check up on us. We quickly got off of each other and sat back up, even picking up the small mess we had left around us.
"Connor! How many times have I told you not to leave the lights on in the hall?" His mother shouted at him, while straightening out the slightly crooked picture frames that sat on the wall next to the stairs. "It wastes electricity!"
"Oops." I confessed out loud, hoping to take some of the blame off of Connor. "Sorry Mrs. Haynes I sort of was the one who left them on, earlier when I went to the bathroom."
"Oh!" She responded, a bit confused about how to react now. "It's okay Ben. Just remember to turn them off next time please."
And with that, she was gone, back up stairs tidying up the rest of her big house. Connor's mom was nothing like mine. She seemed like kind of a pain, a different kind of pain than my own mom was to me at least, not that I let Connor know that's what I thought about her.
"Aw, my sweet old mother..." Connor laughed, stretching his arm out around my shoulder, reeling me back closer towards him. "Can't wait to tell her about us, and see how she reacts."
"Don't worry about it," I reassured him. "You'll still have me."
