Hana's POV
"Hey, stop Rukawa! Defeat him!", Michi yelled at his seniors as he flounced around.
"Punch him!"
"There's no other way, use your leg! Trip him!"
Ayako-san hit Michi on the head with her paper fan as she reprimanded him for having ideas that are all considered foul.
The blow of the referee's whistle caught the attention of everyone. Apparently, #12 of the seniors, which was Shiozaki-senpai, was charged of pushing, the rookies' #23.
Rukawa-san was then given two chances for free throw. Akagi-san threw him the ball in which he caught with two hands. He then got into position and took the shot.
It went in!
I silently cheered for him as I didn't anyone to see.
"Awesome!", I heard Haruko-san say with a fascinated look on her face.
Rukawa-san got into position once again, but before he could shoot, I turned to the side to see that Michi was not beside me like he was earlier.
When I looked back towards Rukawa-san, I saw my idiot of a brother standing below the hoop and was making all kinds of silly faces!
What is this idiot doing?
Is that meant to be a distraction?
Everyone who saw his face laughed but not Rukawa-san. He still threw the ball and like the first one, it went in easily. After he shot the ball, he looked at my brother incredulously and walked away. As he got into position, our eyes accidentally met.
When my steel blue eyes met his dark blue ones, I quickly turned away.
Did he catch me looking at him?
How embarrassing!

"Hey, old man.", Michi said as he marched towards Coach Anzai with a scowl on his face, "Please use your rights as the coach and let me join the game, please?"
Ayako-san then came up behind him and hit his head with her paper fan, as per usual. She then brought him back to where we were watching from earlier.
"Sakuragi-kun, you're in the first year too, aren't you? So let's cheer for the first years!", Haruko-san said innocently, "No more of your naughtiness, okay?"
Michi mindlessly said yes but immediately took it back when he realized that cheering for the first-year team meant cheering for Rukawa-san as well. The manager led him to the corner, away from the players as he could go something idiotic again. It was better for him to study while watching an actual game anyway.
"I wonder why Sakuragi-kun and Rukawa-kun are on such bad terms?", the girl muttered confusingly.
Is she really that dense?
Good luck with this one Michi.
The game continued as Rukawa-san successfully stole the ball from the seniors. He then passed Kogure-san's defense in a flash and went for the ring. He held the ball firmly on his right hand and jumped.
His jumping power is on par with my brother!
All of us who were watching had our mouths open in surprise. Rukawa-san was really good at this, even Michi seemed to have realized that.
I was unconsciously staring at Rukawa-san with a dazed look until I felt a slight slap on my cheek. Snapping out of it, I took a step back in surprise as I saw that Michi was in front of my face with his hand out.
